I cleaned the head on the 8 track and the sound is no longer muffled.
The head mechanism was stuck and channels wouldn't change, but I managed to get it working, front to rear fader had no sound from front, but it started working yesterday. Probably a dirty pot. Anyway take a trip back in time with Bob Seger..

My Granddad had this exact car. One of these days I'm going to find one and restore it. I loved that car.

8-Tracks must be like the most durable thing ever. Everything can fall apart all around the car and I bet the music will keep playing 🤣 I’m happy for you that one less thing is on your fix it list. I’m curious how life with a Mark IV will unfold. I’ve become your number 31 👍
