Also, consider checking the p trap under the sink for clogs before doing this. From my experience, a slow draining bathroom vanity is often just a clump of hair in the p trap. It can usually be removed without tools and is easily accessible. If that's clear, your clog is further back. This trick is pretty useful, as is very hot water. Keep in mind though, you're often times not removing the clog, just moving your clog further down the line and COULD make your issues worse over time. Friendly PSA. If you do use chemical drain remover, it doesn't work and then you call a plumber: TELL THE PLUMBER YOU USED THE CHEMICALS. We won't judge you for trying to save money, and we'll quickly figure out if you're lying or not. We just wanna know so we can take the necessary precautions. Chemical burns are quite jarring when you're not ready for them. ...Sorry for the essay.

Plumber here. If homeowners would treat their drains with just vinegar and hot water they would never have clogs. Cleaning p traps and pouring vinegar fixes almost every clog.

Nice, I found that boiling hot water does very well, my sink drains great now.

I recommend hot water and using only vinegar or baking soda as mixing the chemicals might lead to calcification and clog the drain up even more. I've seen this happen to my pipes and drains.

Peele’s lookalike is making some really useful videos 👍🏼

Yes! This works! Also, it's not just your content but also the way you present it. So sweet. Thanx from Switzerland 😊

I did this months ago. It worked!

You can also get sink plungers they really help after this to push things through.

Thought this was gonna be a skit with the way it's shot 😂😂

This helped me soooo much

Vinegar is acid, baking soda is basic and when you mix them, they neutralize each other. Basically this does nothing. Vinegar by itself works way better because it is acidic. This guys problem is his pop-up. The pop-up needs to be raised up higher so the water can drain better.

This is the first of your tips that I tried, and it made my sink stop draining all together. Had to go in and actually take the pipes out after (no big clogs so idk what happened). I like your videos, love your energy, but I don't think I'll be trying many other tips myself!

Have I told you lately that I love you? I do this. I never throw away baking soda. After a month in the refrigerator or the freezer or on the shelf I use it in all the drains in the house. It's inexpensive and It works to freshen your drain even if you don't have a clog. All from you!!! ☺️🏡😘

If that countertop is granite then you shouldn't be using vinegar on it. Vinegar can etch granite and remove the shine.
