  • farm arc was the best arc in anime history that I've witness. This is so life changing

Amazing how an episode with zero action, strife, or even tragedy can make us cry so much. What an empowering episode, and what a beautiful journey.

Little detail: When Thorfinn wakes up in the shed this episode u can see he wakes up peacefully rather than from having a nightmare like he always does

The last 4 episodes felt like a movie. Absolute top tier writing and development

when snake told thorfinn and einar his real name it was as if he was saying, "remember me." that hit ngl.
  • I just cry every single time, every single episode, every single moment.
  • Bad things happend - we crying. Good things happend - we crying. For next episode you should prepare bucket for happy tears. And for sad tears( because it's end of the season.)
  • At this point I think every episode we're all just crying. Godddd I love this arc so much. Everytime I feel proud for Thorfinn, I always imagine Thors smiling for what his son became.

I think Canute's use of the word 'beautiful' to describe Thorfinn cannot be taken plainly and lightly, and should be understood considering his description of the world as 'beautiful' during his 'awakening' in S1.

It would be a travesty if this anime doesn't at least get nominated for anime of the year. Beautiful story and adapted spectacularly by MAPPA.
  • @pranjoshi
The early morning scenary with the fog was exquisite.

What an episode, what a story! The anime really driving home the emotions and I can't wait to see future chapters come to life. Vinland Saga really has made an impact on a deeper level, beside the action or spectacle of other shows this one hits hard in the heart.
  • People can easily forget that all of this farm stuff was just because Canute needed money and food for his grand plans, and his only other options were disbanding the large force stationed in England, or raising taxes everywhere, and he didn't want to do either. All this has done was get Canute to see if he could do one of the other options, and now that he has, he can use those extra men and funds for his war effort to take over more of the North Sea and bring more people under his rule. This isn't too much of a happy ending, he still has his vision and it's still going forward. People will suffer and die, unjustly or not, all over the place. He's not stopping, he just didn't take the farm, and might consider small logistical changes here and there out of respect for a man who he believes shares his worldview. Canute is still the same person with the same goal and ambition, he wasn't really turned, or shown the light, or saved or anything of the sort. Thorfinn knows he cant morally grandstand people as if he knows what's objectively right and wrong, and Canute still wants to change the world.
  • The next episode is one of the most anticipated for me. In the anime i cried A LOT of times including this episode "Two Paths" , In the manga tho there are specific places that got me hard. Chapter 100 hits lile a truck. Cried multiple times while re reading the series
