US ground vehicles are basically for players to activate the f-16

Most newbie players who bought the Click Bait would still have to play hundreds of hours just to get to 11.7. By that time, they should have either reached their first 11.7 tank but more importantly, they should have understood top tier gameplay. Top tier is vastly different from Mid to Low tier. Knowing the maps can help, but most times you just get a case of bad luck. I find it ironic that the Click Bait is self defeating as people will have bad experiences, they will rage and leave (instead of putting in the 2880 matches or 960hrs required to unlock a single tech tree out of 9 tech trees). This game only wants your money, not your time. It doesn't matter to them if you have stopped playing because the market is closed with no alternatives. Either people will come back, or new customers will come in. I bought the M1 KVT while being at 9.3. Was able to get a lot of good matches, watching USSR fail completely at 10.3 was a shocker. Thankfully I grinded for 400 matches until I had a full 10.0 to 10.3 lineup of ground tanks.

the 1 thing i disagree with is the idea that the existence of a weak spot makes giving the tank hull armor pointless. its still 1 less place you can get penned and makes unaimed snapshots less likely to kill you. thats like saying since the t90 can be 1 shot though the drivers window it mite as well not have armor on the rest of the hull.

Fighting with the US, against Germany and Sweden, is absolutely miserable. I have at least 80% chance of losing when I get this matchup. It's not just US wallet warriors but also Leopard IIs being extremely good, arguably OP at this point.
  • the reel perk of playing top tier America is that if you die with the first Abrams you have like 4 other tries before you're out of MBTs
  • @killthemall55
Its cos to kill 2a7 and 122, you have to get through spall liners that turn you dart to apcr. Then insane frontal armor and blackhole fuel tanks on the sides. Even without them, in latest patchnotes, gaijin said they fixed an issue where all leo 2 s were deleting spalling when penned through the front hull. While abrooms is entirely weakspot and when penned, creates literal nuke of spalling.

Idk if youll atrualy see this but the turret ring is only 51mm's but in real life its alot thicker up to 500mm's in the thickest part
  • @kevlar2536
the neck of the Abrams is the biggest problem of this tank and not even a SEPV3 would fix it
  • @jacoproita9010
PC means Personnel Carrier, its for both IFVs and APCs
  • @Heziboi-dg9ke
Justin as someone who plays USA the teams seem to be the most problematic, also regarding the DU mention at 4:36 all abrams used since the a2 usage feature DU on the frontal armor including lower plate, my friend drives abrams
  • The American top-tier MBTs in War Thunder really grab my attention. They all seem to share one big flaw: they lack decent extra armor. Once you figure out how to take down one, you pretty much know how to handle them all. They're like clones, with the same weak spots that any decent dart can punch through, regardless of their battle rating. Sure, they've added a bit more turret protection on the later models, and some fancy ceramic/ERA stuff, but it doesn't make much difference in most fights. Gaijin keeps saying they can't add stuff like Spall liners or better armor because they lack historical proof, even though players have given them plenty of evidence. And to make things weirder, the later models somehow end up being heavier in the game, even though they don't have better armor in-game. Unlike the Leopards or the USSR tanks, the T64s, T72s, T80s, and T90s all have different variants of the same vehicles but are vastly different regarding their protection internally and externally. Not to mention, the USSR has ERA that can add over 100mm of effective thickness against chemical and kinetic munitions, completely changing how you have to destroy them. The same can be said about the Leopards, but not as drastically as the USSR MBTs. Whenever I fight against US MBTs in top-tier battles, I shoot at the same exact spots, and the results are usually the same, except for some random chance or shots being nullified. In-game, the Abrams feels really unreliable. Unless I get the first shot off, I can't fight well against vehicles with fuel tanks that can absorb entire 600+ pen darts at nearly point-blank range or spall liners that mitigate all the spall damage. I always have to sit back and wait it out, but most maps and game modes don't encourage players to use vehicles correctly. Instead, they encourage players to just hold W and rush into enemy vehicles they can't handle up close. Call it a skill issue, bias, or whatever anecdotal assumption you prefer, but at the end of the day, US statistics show an abnormally low average win rate that needs adjustment in some form.

Btw tip with the gen 1 thermals i picked while playing the AMX-30s of french tree. Switch the thermals from white hot to black hot. Targets are way easier to spot like that. Atleast it feels that way. The tradeoff is that it hurts your eyes. As for what can be done for the abrams? Nothing to the tank. Maps though. that is what can be done. Atleast I struggle hard in the thing when facing a brawl maps And especially cities that have no cover for the hull. Of course at times you get the wild streak and murder everyone but that is more luck than judgement on my end atleast. (also there is a word to be said about the spalling of some american ammo but I think that goes away with the 120.)
  • @deafidue5535
The T-90M received special fuel tanks that the abrams should also receive as an excuse to delete the spall generators that exist in between the crew compartment and the fuel tanks.
  • @crazygoose3562
The 5 rounds in the hull actually do have their very own blow out panel
  • @BearcatThunder
I love the sep. Got a nuke in my first game with it. I just don’t understand how the teams do so bad. Awesome video Justin!
  • The major (if not only) reason why US Top tier is Bad is because of the playerbase itself (mostly premium players). The fact that M1s is overall better than challengers, leclercs, merkavas, arietes yet they still perform much better than US MBTs Shouts something
  • @user-ls2vf1sh5z
Quick and curious question, what's the name of the decal in the front of your M1A2 Sep? The one on the lower glacis?
  • @Pew_Pew_TV
Nice video as always. Thank you Justin for the great content. Keep up the good work !!
  • @normallymute0131
The thing I hate about the Abrams is the thermals being ass all the way up to 11.7. Also the 5 second reload is only available to GE players, and only as long as the loader is alive. And the several instances of other nations getting tech that a single vehicle got while America mounting multiple systems on several vehicles not being added in for “historical accuracy”
