While the Roth era of Van Halen gave us some of the best rock songs, the Hagar era gave us some of the best power ballads. All of Van Halen is incredible! RIP Eddie. We'll never have another quite like you.
  • “Genius”, “Legend” and “Pioneer” get thrown around way too often but, EVH earned every single one of them. #RIP Eddie Van Halen
  • I have to give Sammy Hagar props because he brought a fresh sound to Van Halen and everything he touched with this band was definitely Midas!
  • So sad, listening to his music knowing that he is gone. Everyone should turn on a Van Halen song and turn it up full blast wherever you are...

Hands down one of the best Van Halen masterpieces! Every time I hear this I get pulled into a sweet escape. Wish this song could go on forever...
  • According to Hagar, Eddie’s then-wife Valerie Bertinelli insisted that VH record this and maybe even add it to what became 5150, because she loved it. Smart move.

Remember walking out of a hospital back in 1987 for a heart check ( I was 15 yrs old ) in Slovenia, former Yugoslavia. Thank God my heart was ok and my mother and I went to the bus station and on the way there we stopped in a record shop and she bought me the Van Halen 5150 cassette. I still have that tape.
