Once the spotted deer can no longer reach the leaves, the red-faced Macaque monkeys help feed them by dropping some to the forest floor. The monkeys also give a loud warning signal when they sense a tiger nearby, for whom spotted deer are a particularly easy target.

From Swamp Tigers, a documentary that explores rare footage in of the Sundarbans tigers in the royal Bengal, as they feed their cubs and hunt for their next meals, including the spotted deer.
