This gal is the best teacher on YouTube, simple as that.
  • It's a huge sense of accomplishment when you are actually able ( through muscle memory) to switch between cords smoothly and not look.. And dropping in a new chord.. "practice practice practice" I have found that to be so fulfilling.... Thanks Teach... 🍎
  • Lauren, I am bouncing between your course and these videos on U-tube this instruction between G and C is exactly what I needed. It may look like I am not progressing in the course but I am practicing on the cord changes and strumming patterns. Having trouble as my brain wants to invent a whole different strumming pattern.

Hi Lauren! I can personally vouch for the idea that trusting your ear really works. A neighbor of mine invited me over to his house one time and told me to bring my guitar. Quite honestly, I panicked because I'm not really skilled enough to be able to perform. What he did turned out to be a fantastic learning experience for me. He played about ten songs (the original recordings) for me and asked me to play along to the best of my ability. I had never heard most of them before but he encouraged me to find the melodies just by "feeling" how the notes were going (in other words, training my ear). By about the third song, I found -- much to my amazement -- that I was actually able to do it!
