I haven't recorded an acoustic cover in a very long time, so I decided to do one of my favorite songs, The Sound of Silence. :)
"The Sound of Silence," originally "The Sounds of Silence," is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The duo's studio audition of the song led to a record deal with Columbia Records, and was on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
"The Sound of Silence" was a top-ten hit in multiple countries worldwide. 50 years after its original release, a cover version of "The Sound of Silence" was released by American heavy metal band Disturbed on December 7, 2015. In April 2016, Paul Simon endorsed the cover. In 2023, Tom Ball did a rendition of the song on AGT where he received the golden buzzer.
