ESPN use to be a channel you could just leave on all day. Now itโ€™s pretty much unbearable
  • @mca217
The glory days of ESPN Radio got me through a many work shifts.

The Sports Reporters -- That was, by far IMO, the most intelligent sorts show I've ever seen. Dick Schaap and after that John Saunders, that show was a Sunday morning staple for me. Outstanding debates without anyone screaming their heads off at each other. They'll NEVER get a show like that back again sad to say.
  • The fact that the athletes can have their own podcasts and interview people has changed espn. They play days of our lives now with Stephen A and others. I miss the bread and butter late 90s-2010 lineup.
  • Does anybody remember when MTV stopped being MTV. Streaming is changing everything for viewing options. Only time will tell how this pans out. Such a shame
  • The media is finally feeling what professional athletes go through

For the record, highly questionable was the best show on ESPN while it was running. Danโ€™s dad was the best! He was so funny ๐Ÿ˜‚

The irony of this crew discussing diluted lower quality programming while missing Stugotz, Billy, Roy, and Chris.
  • I remember being in college in 1993 and we would watch the same Sportscaster episode over and over again....lol. To be honest ever since Dan Patrick left, Stuart Scott passed away that was the beginning of the end. Everyone began to leave or pass away after that. John Saunders, Chris Berman,

It makes me so sad that the golden era of ESPN is over, and it's not coming back.
  • @coach6662
Mike and Mike, Cowherd, Rusillo and Van Pelt with Dan and Stugotz anchoring. Damn good radio
  • The chasm between TNT and ESPN re: NBA finals was so vast a restart could only help. ESPN was unwatchable pre/post game. However, the restart should start by getting rid of Greenie and Stephen A, not Van Gundy, Jalen etc.

Na man. Highly Questionable was the show I put on when I ate with my parents after work. We all loved Papi and the running jokes. It was a great show.
  • My love for sports grew as a young boy and a teen through ESPN. I would watch ESPN at night, then rewatch the same episode on the rerun the following morning before school. It was on ESPN that I first saw Ken Griffey Jr and โ€œThe Big Hurtโ€ Frank Thomas. I wore his number 35 for years. ESPN introduced me to perhaps my first love in life - SPORTS. The on-air talent personalities were known to me. They entertained while providing instruction and teaching about all things sports. They were my teachers. My coaches. Familiar faces and familiar voices. I watched and listened to ESPN programs for nearly 30 years. Itโ€™s not the same anymore. And itโ€™s unfortunate.

The NBA show that had Amin and Tmac, and Rachel was DA BEST...PERIOD. I used to watch it religiously. The replacement show...not so much. Yes, I watch it sometimes, but mainly here on youtube and just certain clips. The old show, had Youtube tv recording it and watched most of them. Great show, great analysis. Amin 's front office experience brought a lot of insight.

Most of us were out on ESPN way before these firings. ESPN stopped being a channel about sports years ago.
  • Highly Questionable was my favorite I actually watched it on everytime it was on โค
