Yanis Varoufakis was due to give a speech at the Palestine Congress in Berlin on Friday April 12, when German police burst into the venue to disband the event 1930s style. Judge for yourselves the kind of society Germany is becoming when its police bans the following words.

Germany and Europe is nothing more than an American colony since 1945.
  • @-zeina-8008
How disgraceful.. are these the "European values" from the civilised "garden"?!?
  • Thank you for standing up for human rights!! As a German I do not understand the German complicity with a right wing government that has killed over 30 000 Palestinians and which has been trampling on human rights for 75 years!!!
  • @aseelsoul992
Μπράβο κύριε Βαρουφακη!!!!!!!!!! We will vote for you!!
  • @ahmuqasim7540
Just unbelievable. Sending the police to a meeting that calls for cease fire. Shame on Germany.
  • @hero.ambition
Germany is emberassing themselves for trying to wash themselves being Nazis . By being Nazis today 😅😅
  • Now I understand why the German puppet state fears this man so much.
  • fully support your speech. Hypocrisy rules the world today. Shame on Germany and every country which is against freedom of speech.
  • @sidensvans67
Gestapo tactics . Disgraceful . Thank you for your speech Yanis .
  • @coutsoulis
Thank you Yannis. As a south African Greek, you make me proud to be of Greek decent. We stand with Palestine and the Palestinian people.
  • I am native german . I am deeply ashamed . I do not want to be perceived as being the same as people responsible for and supporting the Genocide in Gaza, responsible for gatecrashing the congress . I do not want to be perceived as being the same as people who have no problem with my homecountry being one of the biggest merchants of death on our Planet . Sadly, there is nothing I can do . Thank you for still letting us hear your words . Situation in Germany gets to a point where more and more people are openly talking about leaving the country for good, or are in the process leaving or have left already . For many, the thought of living here becomes more and more unbearable for the climate developing in the country . People are eerily reminded of the that other times when there was a time to get out when the signs appeared on the walls... Very much looks like Germany is going down a dark path .
  • Germany your guilt is misguiding you to commit the same mistake again.
  • @aishaali4785
Been living here in Germany for 35 years and never have I felt so ashamed of a country having learnt NOTHING from it's own history!!
  • I am German, and I condemn every single atrocity committed by anyone at anytime. The support that comes from German weapon deliveries to commit war crimes in Gaza and in Ukraine shames me deeply, and there are a great number of Germans who agree on this. I am too ashamed of the German government to call it "my" government. Non of this happens in my name!!! My deepest wish is peace for everyone all over the world ❤❤❤ Thank you for your effort and your clear words, dear Mr. Varoufakis 🕊🌍🕊🌎🕊🌏🕊
