I still woul've liked a look at how the German communist movement developed - especially with the SPD, its original reformist version of marxism, its collaboration with the previous state order during the November Revolution all to way to their rebirth in 1959 and abandonment of their marxist roots. I find this especially interesting because they were the main force of the november revolution and one of the dominant parties in the liberal system of interwar Germany despite the fact that at that point they were still trying to build a communist anti-capitalist utopia

Honestly it'd be nice to compare socialism to capitalism side by side. Idea versus idea. Theory versus theory.. Exploration versus exploration.. Then finally comparing capitalism versus socialism versus liberalism versus modetn society in practice.

This begs the question. Where is the state weak? Managing economy... Telling truth... There is still one issue. State shields itself with: 1) the violence 2) games and bread redistributing what they can still take with violence when it is about to lose there.

I wouldn't say Marxist-Leninst regimes had some complexes about their underdevelopment compared "ideal communism", but rather they tried to achieve the same level of development as capitalist and fascist counterparts, because of a looming war and, well, you know, living in preindustrial country in 20th century generally sucks

I'd like to point out that there was one exception in history of a fully industrialised country becoming communist, that being Czechoslovakia. Basicaly that country only got communist because most people thought "Well the Red army liberated most of our country and they were communist, so I will vote for the communists to show my gratitude to them" a not thinking of the reprocussions. Thus going from one of the ten wealthiest countries in the world to a corrupt shithole and I say that as a Czech myself.

I disagree with your point about British Fabianism. I'd argue even the conservative party in the UK are effectively Fabian's lying about what they are and doing as much as they can without inciting a liberal/royalist revolt.
