You call it really bad at darts. I call it freestyle acupuncture.
  • I watched this and then literally hit a tops finish for the first time in my life on my first board that has been here two days. Following through from the chin makes a gigantic difference!

I find I'm more accurate if I stand closer to the board - I'm deadly from 3 ft away.

Lots of Practice, grouping your darts and working on those doubles. Consistency is key !!! Any movement of your darts towards the sides with your wrist and your dart will go all over the place. Plus keep that back foot planted to the ground so you aren’t doing a balancing circus act. Have fun is the main thing in darts. Hopefully you all shoot em well and if you develop better maybe join a tour whether it’s in Canada, America, Europe, Asia, etc...
  • Its the same with every sport. Body alignment, mechanics, and gravity are all taken into account. Same with punching in boxing, throwing a bowling ball, javelin, discus or pitching in baseball. And being less tense and comfortable is key.

Who else is here after watching bdg’s “it’s time to get good at darts”?
  • I loved Norman's antics on the stage of the World Cup even though everyone else seemed to be embarrassed.

I'm getting into playing since we have a dartboard at home that went unused for ages. The problem I'm running into with trying the technique in the video is that my body proportions make it tough to line up a shot with a 90 degree angle of my elbow. I'm 6'4 and quite long in the limbs, which presents a difficulty in aiming that way.

Good tips. My stance and grip is good and everything is balanced. I'm hitting 12's when I'm aiming at 20

+545 for being a Canadien's fan and a great vid!
  • @claymore32
So the best tips are: throw how it feels natural. Keep your head still. Make sure you fully extend the wrist and arm.

People making fun, but it takes alot to turn pro and get a chance for a TV tourny. Hes proud so he should be. Also seems Like a good decent guy. Check out his other video. You know of camera/stage how high the averages are? Then you also have to handle all the media attention. Plus on stage. All the camera's. The audiance. Sponsors. Family etc. If I got that chance to perform on tv. I probably would have collapsed from all these extra pressure. I would take 2 bottles of vodka and some other crap to walk on that stage.
