unboxing the Lyra by Jewell Designs aka Clarke Customs

today I unbox the Lyra by Jewell Designs who goes by Clarke Customs on Instagram. I pre-ordered the Lyra back in January After being repeatedly hit with ads on Instagram for it. usually I ignore Instagram ads but I thought it was interestingly targeted and from a smaller maker so I decided to reach out to him and let him know his ads were hitting the right people as I obviously have a high interest in balisongs. from there we started messaging back and forth some as I thought the design for this knife was really cool looking especially the blade shape. I mean just look at the damn thing. I told him I probably couldn't swing for it at that point in time but as we came up on the pre-order launch I decided to pull the trigger and purchase. The months of anticipation as I awaited the arrival built until a couple weeks ago when I finally broke down and messaged him on Instagram hey when am I getting it. we had stayed in contact and I knew he was working out some kinks but I was just excited to get my hands on it. well the timing was perfect because it just so happened he was wrapping them up and he replied with a shot of my knife 😁 After a short couple weeks it has finally arrived! here is the Lyra. can't wait to do a full review of this after I've spent some more time but so far it's pretty sweet.

go buy one at jewellknives.com/

Cardboard is a realky bad way to test sharpness. Thin paper like newspaper is better because it'll rip if its not sharp. That knife looks super sick!!
