Me: on the verge of tears The ad at the end of the video: TRY THE NEW CHEESY 3 LAYERED TACO AT TACO BELL DONG

showing mari and hero when the song says "when you were 16" OUCH
  • @moonbeamsun9066
I like how you didn’t show everyone’s reaction to Sunny telling the truth. I don’t really think the game is about earning their forgiveness, but rather Sunny learning to forgive himself. We don’t know how they reacted and that’s okay because, either way, both Sunny and Basil can move forwards in their own lives and hopefully, the rest of the group got the closure they needed to do likewise. This animatic is beautiful and I’ve watched it literally multiple times and get emotional every single time. Great work!

2:43 “You won’t ever be alone” followed by Something gives the line a much more sinister meaning

I’m not sure if this was intentional but at 3:27, I noticed Kel’s back towards the perspective. If I’m not mistaken, Kel had withheld his emotions for the purpose of keeping everyone together within the group. Which is what gave Aubrey the feeling that Kel didn’t care about Mari’s death. At 3:27, he’s crying yet you cannot see his face, I think it was symbolic for his crying behind the scenes, only really expressing his emotions when he’s alone—and where his friends and brother can’t see him cry.
  • Someone said “The darker the game, the funnier the fandom” It’s true sometimes but I’m bawling my eyes out right now

I cried so hard seeing Mari's interactions with everyone Photograph is just the right song for this game

This fandom is a never ending home of beauty and sadness. This is my favourite animatic to come out of it by far

HOW DID YOU ENCAPSULATE THE STORYTELLING SO PERFECTLY IN JUST 4 MINUTES
  • I can imagine Sunny, years after the good ending, deciding to try out the guitar for a bit of a change from the violin, and singing this song to himself as he reflects on his time with Mari, the 4 years he spent in isolation, and the 3 days where he reconnected with Kel, Aubrey, Hero and Basil, before confessing the truth, and how that probably affected his life after the fact. Then, once he stops singing, his phone, probably some type of mobile phone now, starts ringing, he answers it, and smiles, speaking quietly, but happily into it. “Hey Kel. How’s life back home?”
  • @KurouShiro6000
the fact that you can hear violins at the part where Sunny was fighting Omori makes it better and worse.

I beg of you, please NEVER delete this It’s my favourite video about OMORI and I’ve rewatched it so many times ever since I found it months ago :>
  • @daze.png_
I love this. It perfectly represents how the headspace was just a false dream about everything they used to do in real life. Omori knew the headspace was all fake. Still, he stayed there because it was better than the real world the existed after mari’s death. This animation is perfect.
  • "Wait for me to come home." Omori waited for 4 years, but Mari never truly came back. But Sunny's friends waited for 4 years, and he finally came home. Or, more fittingly left his home. :')
  • 3:25 Ever since I saw this video, I keep replaying this part because it just hurts to see the montage of all these characters and how they were so hurt by Mari's death

I actually haven't cried this hard in YEARS. When I first finished the game, I cried obviously, but not as hard as I am NOW. Probably because this is such a concentrated blast of the game's entire plot and message that it hits you all at once. Seriously though I needed to hold back sobs that would've woken up my entire house man. Holy shit.
