What do you think this car will bring at the RM Sotheby's auction in New York this weekend?
  • @OriginalMomo
“Wife said I couldn’t get it…. I told her I’d understand if she wasn’t there when I got back”. Damn. Dude’s a definite savage. AND she stayed…. Lol
  • @kyleh3615
'I was making the history, not preserving it' Thats a cool sentence
  • @EdBolian
Great story of chasing a childhood dream car. It's quite the added bonus when you get to daily drive it for years and then have it turn into a retirement account!
  • @visekual6248
I will never understand why they destroyed a real countach on that movie, It's a few minutes long scene that adds very little to the story, they could have used a replica and no one would have noticed.

Something to remember when dealing with cars and film studios: SOMETIMES they will damage the car on purpose to get the shot, and just tell you to send them the bill. DO NOT let a film studio use a car you care about, or that isn't replaceable.

As a car guy, me watching this guy talking about his car with so much love and passion, specially at the video end when he is talking about the final sales talks with Curated, I can feel the tears in his eyes... That was so emotional

This guy is my hero! He bought his dream car and drove it and enjoyed it. Love it! Great story.

I worked at Evan’s automotive as their main exotic tech for a while and we specialize in countachs, was lucky to get to work on a light restoration of this vehicle, we rebuilt the engine did multiple repairs on electronics and mechanicals, was only 19 at the time very blessed, made my day to see this video and know that I got to have some impact on this wonderful car culture

I met this guy at the italian gathering in Columbus, Ohio back in september of 2021. I believe he said Evan's auto had done some work on the car. My 13 year old daughter at the time had a big crush on the 1990's version of leonardo dicaprio. Once the owner found out he insisted she get to sit in the same driver's seat where leo did. That really made her day and I still have the photos on my phone. Super nice gesture on his part. Glad to see the car being appreciated on a large scale finally.

This is the very reason why I subscribed. well honestly this and Ed's shenanigans with hopelessly wretched cars with bad history, not to forget his shrewd negotiations
  • @lamboman2
87 white/tan downdraft Countach owner here. Drove the hell out of it. Loved every minute.

Imagine getting the call “Hey we crashed the wrong car”
  • @VKBKK
The smashed one sold for over 1.2M this going be over 2M I think 😮 crazy
  • @bradleyhanlon
It’s fascinating how the best cars always come with stories of use, the rare color combination is just an interesting aside. He found the car of his dreams, used it as intended, shared it with the community, and then allowed it to be used under close supervision for a legendary film with an all star cast and director. His story is why this car stands above other Countach’s. Props to Ed and John Temarian for understanding and valuing the story telling side of car collecting.
  • @davidsmith6001
Great story and you can feel the love for this piece of history that you helped make. The next owner will be hard pressed to do as much with it.
  • @charlesreid9337
I have never thought anyone deserved a supercar But this guy did
  • @ICKY427
always awesome to see a car like this get so much use and create so many memories instead of just being hidden away somewhere.
  • @polloxdabollox
