I channeled my inner Jenna the other day painting some large clay vases. A chocolate brown one is now a dark charcoal/black with the subtlest white speckle and the other was a pinky brown with some black dots. I just stippled it with white paint and for some reason it turned a beautiful concrete grey with a fabulous range of colour. Can’t believe it went grey instead of a base of lighter pinky brown. You can’t tell they’re painted and the texture is still there. They couldn’t have turned out better, thanks for the inspiration. ❤

I'm so excited to see what you do with your new space. It's harder to know when you can't actually be in the room, but I think I'd recommend moving the chairs a bit farther away from the window wall, and then probably move the sofa in a couple of inches accordingly. When I sit down in a friend's house, I always appreciate being able to reach the coffee table without having to get up. Artistic flair must run in the family, I love your grandmother's art 💚

The room looks great. The peel & stick tile for the fireplace looks so real. The only thing missing is the obligatory candle on the coffee table. LOL!!!! I like the vase by the front door but I think if I sat there I’d keep thinking the tree was going to fall on me. LOL!!! I was thinking of a side table but I think you are working with limited space there. Keep up the good work.
