Fun safari zone fact: due to how it's programmed, throwing bait at chansey actually increases the catch rate, on top of lowering the flee rate.

I wonder how much this speedrun would be impacted by modern experience mechanics? Getting EXP from catching Pokémon and everything in the team gaining EXP (thus allowing you to stack up evolutions as you play and Blastoise would get stronger with all the extra EXP). I know Let's Go is kind of similar in this regard but still, it would be interesting 😊

So what you are saying is, theoretically there are stupid timesaves for catching certain pokemon if you are nagito komaeda specifically, but otherwise why try and save time on catches when there are more likely timesaves elsewhere If I had to run this I would probably be the idiot trying to throw pokeballs at stuff like snorlax and chansey
