Better Than Epoxy

Doing this is better than using epoxy on this table. The glass from the live edge river table I built 3 years ago broke, so I repurposed those cottonwood slabs to create a new live edge table with a series of stitches connecting the void. I used something better than epoxy to piece this table back together. I inlaid a series of walnut stitches with cottonwood inserts as well as a series of square patches to cover up any previous bowties and epoxy crack fills.

  • I am a firefighter in Southeast Texas for the past 13 years and Navy Reservist for almost 20 years. I am currently activated with the Navy to run a security program in Ft. Worth, Texas. I have been watching you for a while and love the work you do. Being separated from my wife and daughter for a year is tough, but this would be an awesome moral boost for my wife! I could make it to OKC to pick it up! *all or nothing!!

I would like to nominate my older sister who lives in OKC. She is a single mom who has been kicked down by life numerous times. I think this table would fit her story perfectly, a work of art with imperfections, but with time and patience has been stitched together to be strong, resilient, and unique!
  • I want to nominate my wife. She has always wanted a custom table. She is a pancreatic cancer survivor. And since she was diagnosed we have had 2 beautiful children. But as we still have many medical bills and still have many follow up appointments me purchasing a custom table is not in the cards. I am blessed to still have her and my 2 boys but this would be a dream come true we both watch your videos and are amazed
  • All or nothing. I’d nominate my coworker Delena and her family. They live in OK, and have had bad luck with tornadoes hitting their farm. Their kids are smaller, she and her hubby are “older” parents and live very humbly. This would be a huge gift of kindness to demonstrate that there are still MANY nice people who care and provide a lifelong reminder to the “young’ns that this was the table that started my lifelong acts of kindness and giving….if they get that, who knows, but I can always hope. Great video. Thanks

I want to nominate my brother in law and sister. They live in Yukon and work hard to take care of my nephew and niece. My brother in law works 12 to 16 hour days in construction and then anytime he's off spends it spoiling my sister and the kids.
  • I want to nominate my mom and dad. Having raised four kids, they sacrificed so much to provide for us. One thing that was always consistent in our home growing up was family dinner at the dinner table. It’s one of my fondest memories. Now, they have 4 kids and 4 grandkids (and counting) and need a bigger table for us all to fit at the dinner table for family time. This table would fit that perfectly. I live in the OKC metro area and love that we have such a creative youtube channel right in our backyard. Love the content! All or nothing!
  • My dad passed last year and left my stepmom with six brothers and sisters in elementary through high school. We are a huge family, and sharing the evening meal is always what we do. This table would be a gift for them, and I know it will be cherished. Our Dad loved to work with wood as well. There are enough of us adult siblings to get the table from OKC to Enid. Thank you for the wonderful videos.
  • All or nothing! I would like to nominate myself. I’m a retired Sheriffs Deputy after 31 years. I’m currently going through a divorce and my other half took the kitchen table. My kids and friend hate the trailer hood table I picked up to get by. I now work in a Treatment Court as a case manager and am always saying, “Trust the Process” because I believe it! I would love a road trip to OKC! Thanks for the inspiration try something outside the box!
  • I would like to nominate my daughter. She moved to Oklahoma city and has a seven month old child. Her and her boyfriend are trying to make a new life 10 hours away from their families. For a young couple to try to start off on their own and struggle. This will be a nice gift for them. Thank you for any likes. God bless.
  • Hello. From Lawton Oklahoma. I nominate my Mother in law Susan. She just moved here permanently and sad to say she lost quite a bit of furniture. Dining table included. She lives alone and this would be perfect for her new apartment. Thanks for the opportunity for this. I myself could pick it up as I’m only 80 miles away. 🙏🏽
  • I am a retired Nurse who used to work in Intensive Care. The unfortunate thing about Intensive Care is that I always talked to the patients (even if they were unconscious), but most of them could not respond. You asked about whether people enjoyed your commentary. I for one absolutely love it. It’s so nice to get somebody talking to you instead of the other way around. Plus, your information is just enjoyably interesting.!! ❤❤
  • @doofykouki494
All or nothing. I’m a trucker I’m away from home a lot and since I’m away I don’t get to sit and enjoy a nice meal and truly would inspire me to sit and relax and cook a homemade meal when I’m home. Plus would be good for the money magic the gathering games me and my friends have.
  • In 1970, I build my mom a Sewing Machine Cabinet for her very old Singer Sewing Machine. My shop teacher helped me get it “Perfect”. My mom is now 92 y/o & still has it. It was made out of Mahogany & it is still beautiful.
  • Building a powder coating oven is absolutely worthy of an entire video, I would love to see what that looks like
  • All or nothing I'd love to have this table. I'm able to pick it up myself. I'm a USAF vet and a recent Grandpa. I'm also a hobbyist woodworker and could use this to reference for learning purposes. Plus, I could donate the current table I have to my young daughter and her husband and new baby.
  • @jesseclayborn
I nominate Cookie monster. He has all those cookies but no table to eat them at and this table would be perfect all the crumbs could go down the middle and no one would be the wiser. If you two would like to see Cookie monster win give it a big thumbs up.🍪🍪🍪
  • @jcinkc3
I nominate myself!! Although I cannot say “ I deserve” anything, I can argue that my love of art in any form is what keeps me going!!! I have, like you, used my ADHD, to allow me to learn ( and obsess) pottery, glass work ( fused and stained) upholstery, painting with oil, acrylic and I realized it’s just from my love of color and uniqueness. I’ve taken that love of color and switched to pastry art where I’ve been able to use on a large scale for charity work and donating back to my community. I’m sure there are others that will have a more completing story so, I would nominate those folks as well. Thanks for your art, ability to ramble (effectively to keep people engaged) and entertainment. The patches are art and personality! All or nothing
  • All or nothing, would love to have this table! Our new home will be done in a month and this would be the perfect addition for our kitchen nook! And I live 2 hours from you! Great work, beautiful inlays.
  • I am nominating my grandpa for this table. My grandpa was the one who taught me the craft of wood working. He learned from his dad in their backyard barn shop long before I was born. His dad has recently passed but he’s carried on in working on their projects together while teaching me in the process. He’s given me so much in terms of support and encouragement for developing my skills and I’d love to build them a dining room table to say thanks. Until I have the ability to build one myself this would be a truly amazing option! All or Nothing, In addition we live in Tulsa OK and could pick the table up within an hour!
  • @crabbman
I would love for my wife to have this table. She just has a surgery, spending a lot of time at home, and this would bring some great joy to our family to see this everyday. We live locally in OKC so this just seems meant to be. All or nothing
