This scene would have been much more meaningful if Valkyrie didn't recruit dead people. I would have preferred it that the dead stay dead and Jelanda's transformation happen at the end of the game after the player is allowed to get attached for her. The lack of character development and the way TriAce pulled the story in Valkyrie Profile just made Jelanda's transformation feel meaningless.

The way they animated this is absolutely horrifying. It's not like a werewolf where you turn inside first then outside, with your original form simply being modified and reshaped. No, it seems her own flesh is eating her alive, digesting her original self completely, then morphing into another being. What the hell.

That poor girl. Apparently the dude who orchestrated her kidnapping told the mercenaries to give her "medicine" if the royal guard overtook them. She had no idea this was going to happen to her, did not want it to happen to her, and I can't imagine the fear and pain she must have been going through.

Barely any of the comment are about how horrifying this would be. You see her reaching for her arm to stop it from moving but she can't control it, and at the end you can see tears going down her face before it's finally enveloped. Jesus, what a horrifying transformation...

For those wondering this is from Valkyrie profile,the context is this:Jelanda is a princess who was kidnapped by a bunch of mercenaries to make her a slave of one rival kingdom,one of the mercenaries doesn't know about the kidnapping and just thinks is a weird package,he also was one of the mercenaries in service of the king from jelanda's kingdom,after the kidnapping is discovered during an inspection of the border patrols jelanda receives a "potion" to "help her recover",that potion turns her into a Ghoul (that thing of the video)and you end up killing her,then the mercenary founds out this was all planed by one of the counselors of the king,who was also a spy from the rival kingdom,the objective was to either have the princess as a hostage to make the king surrender or kill her and make the king lose his morale,the mercenary kills the councelor but then he is surrounded by the guards of the castle,when asked to surrender he commits suicide,oh and by the way that's the beginning of the game
