A buffer zone is a great idea....it should extend fifty kilometres from the Ukrainian border into Russia, and be enforced by NATO....

What is actually happening is that Ukraine is rushing troops to the Kharkov area. Unfortunately the fortified postions that were supposed to have been built for them were not built. So they are being torn apart by artillery.
