Join me as I step off the beaten path and into the heart of Sri Lanka's rural life. In this vlog, I'll be staying with Janik's family, while I immerse myself in the rich traditions, vibrant landscapes, and warm hospitality of the Sri Lankan locals, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We will try the jobs around the village and see how hardworking the villagers are. We'll explore sugarcane farming, getting deep with the procedures and process. We'll also try out lake water fishing and ending the day with Kasippu party! We will also try out some of the amazing dishes that Janik's family has prepared and also, meet all sorts of unique characters along the way.

Harry, I gotta say, the fact you actually bothered to learn Sinhala vocab is really admirable. And you know loads more words than the average tourist. I'd argue it's even better than my own Sinhala ! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ And thanks as well for showing us a glimpse into the lives of these hardworking people. Even though the island is relatively small, there's still so much us locals haven't seen of our own country Big ups, mate ✌🏽 Keep up the good work!

Sri Lanka is like that colorful local spice market you accidentally wander into, and before you know it, you're leaving with a bag full of delightful experiences and a hint of curry powder in your pocket. I have been hearing so many things about Sri Lanka and I'm really interested to see this place. Hopefully, my travel dart would land in this nice place.

When you drive that tractor on the farmland, it looks like a beautiful oil painting, and I believe it brings good memories to many people! When we have the ability, we can help more people in need. This is such a beautiful act of kindness! The interaction between people can be regardless of you and me, regardless of national boundaries. Harry, please continue to spread this great love to the world! Harry, you have made another excellent video. I felt very moved after watching it, but my writing skills are not good enough to express my feelings! Overall, I hope everyone can live happily on this earth and World Peace! Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful video, let us know more about Sri Lanka, a beautiful and kind country! πŸ‘πŸ₯°πŸ™

  • Hey Harry it was such a pleasure having you. You know so much more Sinhale than me. That party looked so much fun after the fishing. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful film about us and for plugging the Homestay and my art. Much ❀
