The Cardinals moved to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in the ACC after going on the road to defeat the Wolfpack, 13-10. Louisville's defense had eight tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and held NC State to zero points in the second half. Louisville quarterback Jack Plummer finished the game 21 of 35 for 286 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Chris Bell Jr. caught three passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. For NC State, Brennan Armstrong became the 10th ACC quarterback to throw for 10,000 career yards while going 13-25 for 112 yards. Armstrong also ran the ball 17 times for 61 yards.
