Dr. Bernice A. King Speaks Out

God bless the King Family! My prayer is that Dr. King's bible and Nobel Peace Prize remain with his family and not be sold.

I have never commented on anything but on this situation I will, I thank God for blessing her to have the strength to say No...God be with her always.

Thank you Doctor Bernice King, for keeping your father's belongings in place and not allowing your family to sale it.

I can hear in her voice that she is fighting on the inside and fighting a few tears that may want to fall. I love you and keep fighting….the selling of the Bible and Nobel Prize is wrong so STAND YOUR GROUND….

She has the essence of her father within her spirit. Moving...

Great Rev. Dr Bernice King I have been inspired always and blessed by your selfless and gift of preaching...I long to see you in Kenya...in honour of your Father whom I cherished the most.

I have my mothers bible the Sunday she died, and as long as I live that bible will remain with me...after me I will give it to my second son, that accepted the Lord the other, I praise God...

This is a very well delivered and heartfelt speech...My prayers are with Bernice A. King and my GOD almighty deliver Victory in her hands. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. should never ever be equated with MONEY. I feel sorry, deeply sorry for Martin III and Dexter King, they have let the entire Black Community down in their effort to get more money at the expense of our own great KING, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This is why Bernice looks most like her dad than any of her siblings, because it was already written that she’d be the one who’d speak up for her Dad’s possessions. Fighting for what’s right, which is that there’s no dollar amount that his awards or his personal Bible should be sold💪🏽👍🏽 #GreedyMoneyHungryBrothers

God bless Bernice's path, I see she's got everyhting King had: humility before God, love towards fellow human beings, compromise for truth, love for Jesus.  Thanks for following your father's Savior's footsteps.

I have never been more proud of the King heirs than at this moment. I always wonder what they are currently doing to further the Legacy of their father and beautifully dedicated mother. I applaud her for the courage to stand against her brothers in that moment and to withstand whatever battle she has had to endure. What a remarkable moment!! It is uplifting to find that in this day and time there are some who still believe that there are some things so tangible, special and irreplaceable, that no amount of money is just compensation. Dr.Bernice King is an Attorney her self for those youngsters who don't know. I knew it was never about the money for her anyway. It was about PRINCIPAL💜 💜Morals & 💜Value I would rebuke it when people would say oh the King Siblings fighting i would say no there not😡😠. Bernice is the baby of Dr. MLK Jr. Children and she is passionate about her parents legacy. They would say how you know? I would say I never met her personally however Dr. Bernice King assistant Pastor at a church in East Point and I would make sure I was there to hear her speak the word. At times Bernice mom would be sitting in the middle of the congregation with the most upright Posture one could ever witness. No lie y'all this family is POWER!!! THE DRUM ROLLS WHEN DR.Bernice Kings Speaks. She Brings the building down with truth and love for everyone. I felt like I was witnessing a female Dr. King, like really what an experience Peach🍑State Coastal SC girl 🌴

I remember when I was in the third grade, and I was in a home where domestic violence and alcoholism was a normal thing to my parents. On that morning at school, it was library day. The teacher told us to check out two books, and the library had thousands and thousands of books, but somehow I ended up on the aisle that had Martin Luther King books. One of the two books I checked out was about Martin Luther King. When I read that book, my life changed, and even though my parents were fighting there own demons, an angel(Martin Luther King) spoke to me with the words in that manuscript, and nobody will be able to take this away from me, they can't sell it, pawn it, or bargain with it. This is priceless. R.I.P Martin Luther King. I love you. I am I because you were you.

Amen Sister...some things are sacred and should not be for sale. Those items (Nobel Peace and the Bible) are priceless. To sale them suggest that they have a price.. Dr. MLK Jr. did  not allow himself to be for sale and I am sure many tried to buy him but instead he earned the Nobel Peace Prize with blood, sweat, tears and great sacrifice. I rather see the items donated as a priceless gift to an institution that Dr. MLK would support rather than to tag them with a price. More so I rather them stay where they are. I support Sister Dr. Bernice King in this matter. 

I'm not quite sure about how all this works but couldn't they just keep the items in the family and lease it out to a museum or something? Why sell it?
