One day, in the year of the fox Came a time remembered well When the strong young man of the rising sun Heard the tolling of the great black bell One day in the year of the fox When the bell began to ring It meant the time had come for one to go To the temple of the king There, in the middle of the circle, he stands Searching, seeking With just one touch of his trembling hand The answer will be found Daylight wait's while the old man sings Heaven help me And then like the rush of a thousand wings It shines upon the one And the day had just begun One day, in the year of the fox Came a time remembered well When the strong young man of the rising sun Heard the tolling of the great black bell One day in the year of the fox When the bell began to sing It meant the time had come for one to go To the temple of the king There in the middle of the people he stands Seeing, feeling With just a wave of the strong right hand He's gone to the temple of the king Far from the circle, at the edge of the world He's hoping, wondering Thinking back on the stories he's heard Of what he's going to see There, in the middle of a circle, it lies Heaven help me Then all could see by the shine in his eyes The answer had been found Back with the people in the circle he stands Giving, feeling With just one touch of a strong right hand They know of the temple and the king

Lyrics: One day, in the year of the fox Came a time remembered well, When the strong young man of the rising sun Heard the tolling of the great black bell. One day in the year of the fox, When the bell began to ring, It meant the time had come for one to go To the temple of the king. There in the middle of the circle he stands, Searching, seeking. With just one touch of his trembling hand, The answer will be found. Daylight waits while the old man sings, Heaven help me! And then like the rush of a thousand wings, It shines upon the one. And the day has just begun. One day in the year of the fox Came a time remembered well, When the strong young man of the rising sun Heard the tolling of the great black bell. One day in the year of the fox, When the bell began to sing It meant the time had come for the one to go To the temple of the king. There in the middle of the people he stands, Seeing, feeling. With just a wave of the strong right hand, he's gone To the temple of the king. Far from the circle, at the edge of the world, He's hoping, wondering. Thinking back on the stories he's heard of What he's going to see. There, in the middle of a circle it lies. Heaven help me! Then all could see by the shine in his eyes The answer had been found. Back with the people in the circle he stands, Giving, feeling. With just one touch of a strong right hand, they know Of the temple and the king.

RIP Ronnie James Dio
-
I never noticed that the castle on the album cover is shaped like a guitar!
-
Dio's voice, ritchie's slide guitar, lyrics, mystic atmosphere.... Everything about this song is absolutely gorgeous!
-
One of the most relaxing songs I've ever heard... It's very quiet but full of passion and spirit.
-
Şarkı sözleri: Eğer seni kırdıysam Darıl bana Ama bir gün beni ararsan Bak ruhuna Birden gecem tutarsa Güneşi çevir bana Sevgilim bağışla Biraz zor olsa da Affet beni akşamüstü Gölgem uzarken Öğleden sonra affet Ne zaman istersen Affet beni gece vakti Ay doğmuş süzülürken Sabaha kalmadan affet Tam ayrılık derken Çünkü sen çölüme yağmur oldun Sen geceme gündüz oldun Sen canıma yoldaş oldun Sen kışıma yorgan oldun

This solo is inhumane... Holy fuck.
-
Ritchie's guitar work is subtley brilliant and Dio the perfect voice for it.
-
What a fantastic album. This and Catch the rainbow are some of my favorite songs ever, and both being in a debut album is astonishing
-
This album is a piece or art, one of the best debut albums of ever.

My older brother was such a huge Dio fan, we would often listen to him together. I never listened to this song with him, but as soon as i heard it all i could think about was him, this song makes me emotional everytime i listen to it, it's so beautiful
