As someone who works in injection molding I love @trashpandadiscgolf talking about molding. Also for the lip on the Titleist disc, that lip could be an undercut that the ejector pins push right over depending on the flexibility of the plastic and the temperature at which they eject. Or it could be an action in the tool similar to making bottle caps, although unlikely because of the cost to build a tool like that.

9:11 one of these youtube disc golf channels talked about that disc - I think the ribs on the inside are for grip when doing a turboputt-like throw, placing your hand on the inside, and those ribs help you give it spin
