A CIA whistleblower alleges President Trump abused his office to get dirt on his main political rival.

I think we will all remember this week for a long time to come. What started as a rumor that there was an intelligence community complaint that the White House was trying to quash snowballed into a scandal that may dwarf Watergate.

Early this week we learned that the whistleblower’s complaint deal with the President directly. Most assumed it related to the July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky.

When the White House released the transcript of the call with Zelensky, we learned that the two leaders discussed military aid, and then discussed two “favors” that President Trump wanted from Ukraine: 1) he wanted Ukraine to look into “servers” and Crowdstrike and 2) he wanted Ukraine to restart an investigation into Trump’s main political rival Joe Biden.

The next day the full Whistleblower complaint was released. The full complaint recapitulated all of the information in the read-out of the phone call and also dropped the bombshells that the White House had been attempting to coverup the phone call (and potentially others) but hiding it in a computer system designed only for the most secure communications.

House Democrats have already voted to start an impeachment inquiry.

Things are moving fast.

This is big.

Objection! The line, "This doesn't happen every day."...hasn't aged well.

Watching these videos today is absolutely mindboggling. Did you ever imagine a world where this did just......... disappear? Because... in effect..... it did.

I’m kinda late to the party, but as a Ukrainian, I wanna correct you on some points. -Yanukovich wasn’t ousted for conspiracy with Russia simply because Russian interference occurred after he was ousted. He was ousted for incredible corruption, abuse of power and getting 100 protesters killed. Whole thing started as a protest to get into EU, but that’s a long story. -Nobody is fighting in Crimea. Yes, we do have an armed conflict with Russia(who claim to do nothing with it and call it civil war), but not in Crimea. Crimea is under occupation, but the fighting is in the eastern regions. -Zelenskiy isn’t a prime minister, he is a president. Thought you make this mistake only once, so it seems to be a typo.

"FML, the transcript was just released." I don't think I've laughed that hard in months.
  • “Ah, it’s fun to joke when Rome is burning.” That line is nothing short of Shakespearean.
  • @jrenema
Back in the good old days when the world knew zelensky just for this trump scandal...
  • @dustinjames9743
I'm not going to lie that is probably the funniest ad segway I've ever heard. " At skillshare you can learn how to bribe and blackmail without being impeached" hilarious, also due to the subject matter that it is parodying deeply concerning. As always this guy does great work and I always walk away with a better understanding of the legal intricacies at play.
  • @Colopty
And here we see a lawyer slowly go insane over 40 minutes.
  • Political stuff aside, the framing of getting phone alerts and being annoyed about the story constantly changing is entertaining
  • "This is not going to go away" Coronavirus: "no one expects the Spanish inquisition"
  • @joffrecordan
Oh, young Devin. So young, so innocent since then. I remember when this was shocking, too. And now it's practically a footnote to the insanity.
  • Dude, the fact that you just linked skillshare to "how to be better at corruption" is the most stereotypically lawyer thing you've ever done and it was hilarious.
  • "I did not have transnational relations with that man, Mr. Zelensky."
  • @Stanco1919
With Giuliani as defense lawyer, there is no need to have a prosecutor.
  • This video showed up in my recommendations today. Mixed feelings regarding how hazy this event feels in my memory. Along with every scandal from 2016-20. I can only hope and pray that the American people won’t forget by 2024. As I’m apparently starting to.
  • @CormacMor
"Breaking news...and f*** my life!" I feel this moment so much.
  • @jayharyu927
“Ahh, it’s fun to joke while Rome is... burning.” I’ve never felt a statement more
  • If there's anything I've learned from this channel: As long as your lawyer can make a nice sounding speech you're innocent of all charges.
