Crazy thing is when you say 90s hip hop these days 95% of people are thinkin jay z, eminem, 50, nas, wu tang, fat joe, three 6, nelly, lil john, ja rule, biggie, tupac, and a whole bunch of other mainstream stuff. Some of that was really good stuff for sure, but to me THIS is 90s hip hop and rap. And i was BORN in 1990 😂. I was lucky i found all the underground stuff later on because as soon as i heard a good song id be searchin for who it was constantly. Gang starr, dilated peoples, binary star, tribe called quest, mobb deep, lost boyz, mos def and talib kwali, da henchmen, pharoah monch, people under the stairs, citizen kane, godfather don, pharcyde, and of coarse i consider NAS one of the real ones, so many more that im not even mentioning. Best music for any time in life

90's hiphop needs to be rediscovered and recelebrated like a treasure.

To be honest, i've always been a heavy metal kinda guy when it came to music, rap/hip hop has never really been my thing. But I gotta say, I turned this on while taking a walk and it completely changed my whole perspective on the genre, I discovered an entire separate world of great music that I was completely overlooking for so long. Had No.18 on a mixtape when I used to drive to Law School each morning in 96 - what a beautiful flow, sunshine, traffic, used to rap law cases and statements to revise on my way in. Reminds me of also of some serious Tanzanian pum I enjoyed that summer too. Good memories.

Bring back memories from the early 90's ! cruising in my Jeep (now its considered a SUV) for hotties, smoking, drinking and occasional fights , lol . back when you wanted to interact with someone , you went OUTSIDE. !! No cell phones but ALWAYS got in contact with who ever you wanted !! I miss those days when EVERYONE hung out on the corners, now my old hood you dont see ANYBODY chillin outside.

I was born in 05 so I didn’t get to experience much of the 90s rap like I wanted, but as I grown older all these 90s inspired songs are so amazing to my ears, I wish I could’ve been there for the golden era.
