Here in 2022 watching this for the first time. I've been playing SC for 3 years and had no idea about this S42 clip and boy this was like watching a movie, so amazing I cant wait for this to release! What they are doing is truly ground breaking and I cant see any other game development compony coming close to what CIG can do for so many years to come if ever. I'm blown away and this is just a old WIP too wow!!!!

The quality we are seeing here is nothing like anything else. Its not like EA can come up with a space game and do this, its just on another level. Its same with Star Citizen as well. Last night i flied to a planet where it was night time and i could look up to the starry sky, its was so amazing to look at. It wasnt just a skybox, the sky was actually full of actual things i could visit and fly to. Amazing feeling.

first i was highly skeptical, than i got more curious, bit skeptic again, and than i pledged and joined the fam. No regrets.

Now I watch "game movies", cuz I'm poor, besides the point, this small mission, over an hour long, and just a taste, REALLY felt like watching a movie. The cinematic quality was top notch, VO, animation(minus some polish to-do's), and writing was engaging. I honestly never took my eyes off the screen once, and I have ADHD, that's, now THATS something special.

7:30 Morrow is actually reacting to what the player is looking at, and talking about it. They called it SpoilTech in the commentary. Very small detail but took a lot of work. I hope others can appreciate stuff like this and the time and effort required to realise it.

12:08 this scene got me and I haven't seen the whole video yet. lol, you can see the sadness for not giving time to his own family over this career. the emotions and pause before speaking amazing acting and animation.
  • The Briefing Room seen has my jaw on the floor. What an incredibly simple, yet somehow intimate exchange. 100% sold.
  • I never imagined watching this over four years ago that four years later, I'd still have no idea when Squadron 42 was going to release.

is this real life? ill be honest, some of the best voice acting I ever heard in a video game, doesn't sound fake or acted, it sounds real! i'm so glad CIG managed to make this world feel and sound real like that, everything clicks together, it's amazing!

After Starfield Igotta say CIG was beyond its time, once again ...

2021, still watching this with kid eyes. Can't wait for the final release, in maybe few years... Good Luck CIG !

Was just going to watch like, 5 mins to see how it's looking. 1 hour later I'm wondering whether to watch it again. One of the best campaign sequences I've seen in a game, the transitions from different types of gameplay were very natural and it just looks epic in scale. Double thumbs up

OMG, those faces, animations and the voice acting and it looks beautiful, TOP NOTCH!
