The raid that baited the entire Destiny Community is a double entendre and can be summed up by one season. Meet Season of Opulence, a popular 3 months of a grindy hellfuck in Destiny 2 which introduced some new activities like the tribute hall, sort of secret bad juju mission, treasure hunts, and the activity nobody stops praising, The Menagerie. Annnnnd of course later that week there was IMMEDIATE JUMP NOPE SAME DAY there was a brand new raid, Crown of Sorrow andddddddd yeahaa we got a lot to cover. This is a juicy day 1 story and just overall raid with some details like; day 1 grind, our first contest raid, and an absolute jebait of an ending! I know that somewhat spoils the climax, but it’s in the title of the video so this was your choice not mine, anyways, Crown of Sorrows let’s get into it!

I have to say, as good as The Menagerie was, it kinda ended up being a misstep moving forward. This activity set a standard so high basically every seasonal activity that came after like Vex Offensive or Sundial seemed underwhelming despite still being pretty fun to run : /

My favorite memory of this raid race is this clip of datto yelling at sneaky for just dying and i have never been able to find it but i remember it being the greatest thing i’ve ever watched

Having recently flawlessed this raid and gotten my Shadow title, I am sad to see it leaving. Other then the first encounter I really enjoy this raid a lot.

Ironically, this was my first ever day one raid, it taught me the hype, fun, and genuine discovery of being able to learn new mechanics with the pros and who can come up victorious from not having a good team but to be creative and communication

I don't usually comment on YouTube videos, but I'd just like to say that the frequency, length, and quality that you produce with these videos is amazing. Great job. I'm recently returned to D2 (played vanilla and started at the beginning of this season) and I'm loving "catching up" on the drama of the raids/puzzles/expansions. Thanks for all your effort! I can only imagine how much time/effort it takes.

Not that Datto will not get a Worlds first, (though hes said hes not gonna be trying as hard now) but there is value in the fact that he is a staple in the community. Everyone knows him and what hes done for the community. In a way, its unique to very few people, because he has a value not just as a team member, but as an individual who's been devoted to this game.

I remember trying the final phase for 5 hrs and we still didn't get it with 9 different people after the first day raid. The end was supper hard.
