WHY. CAN'T. I. JUST. DRAG. AND. DROP SO SIMPLE. DAMN YOU VORTEX
-
To all beginners now and in the future, steel up and good luck! May your framerates be high and your CTDs be low.
-
Me: I want B to come after A. Vortex: Ok, that makes sense to me. Me: And C to come after B. Vortex: No, that's a circular reference. Me: What? Vortex: It's just impossible. Can't be done. Would destroy the spacetime continuum to attempt it. Me: Can I just drag C up then? Vortex: God no, that would be way too easy.
-
Is it just me or have they made something that used to be fairly simple into something much more complicated?
-
why can't i just drag a plugin to where i want it to be in the load order?
-
Wow. This used to be easy. Who on earth is the tool that over engineered the load order options?
-
Still wish I could move files manually. Quitte baffling that a supposed upgrade and better mod manager remove one of the core functionnalities that was the reason people used mod organizer.
-
So here I am, 2019. And I'm asking myself, why can't I just select multiple plugins drag them and put them where I want, like it used to be? Isn't that WAY more simpler for the end user? instead we gotta go with all this hassle of groups and what not. That whole diagram thing blows my brains off. What the actual .... If it ain't broken don't fix it. As a programmer, the saying is actually true: A user interface is like a joke, if you gotta explain it, then it's not very good.

This has been an amazing little series. I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to these things and you have done a great job in helping people like me out. Thank you so much!
-
Thank you! You either are or were a teacher at one point in life. Well done!
-
Once again, Gopher thank you for these tutorials, and all of your contributions to modding over the years. You've made these games so much more fun for thousands of us!
-
This is disaster, i can't move the load order, "revert and save" thing remove the plugin, i must reinstall all 160 mods one by one and... It's already 5 AM
-
It seems Vortex follows the Microsoft philosophy of automatic and broken over direct and effective.
-
I stumbled across this 4 years after you released this. Still super helpful! Thank you for your hard work!
-
why did they want to start using vortex instead of the Nexus mod manager? It was a great tool that didn't need replacing. I've tried using the vortex and its convoluted and confusing. I miss the overwrite features where it prompted you if you wanted to overwrite another mod and you could say yes to mod so that it would only overwrite a specific mod. That is convenient and you can't seem to do that in the vortex. It's annoying

Forever grateful for these videos, I haven't really played skyrim since 2020 and kind of forgot well everything about modding so these videos have really helped me remember how to do all this
-
This series has really helped me. Thank you for making it.
-
Installing and using vortex has been the biggest mistake in my modding history
-
Two years later and still helpful! Thanks, I was missing a master and you were the only guide to help me

Great video gopher. I have been using the old version and I did not know about loot groups. It's really the change I needed to have more control over my load order.
