  • In case anyone is wondering, they are still married. He is now the Executive officer of the nuclear submarine USS Louisiana, (probably a Commander) and she runs her own container business.
  • @scottloar
A classic clean-cut young man and now an officer in the US Navy.
  • A young man commissioned in the navy as a nuke officer. No small feat. One of the hardest, if not the hardest school to qualify for, intellectually, in our awesome military. TY both for your service. Gorgeous couple.
  • @scottadler
He wasn't "commissioned into the navy," he was commissioned as an OFFICER. Now, his wife will have to salute him and obey his orders. (yeah, sure -- heh)

This always brings a smile whenever I watch this. Even though it's been several years ago, still wish them both a 'Fair Winds and Following Seas.'

As a military couple, we lived the long distance thing for years. I ended up having to get out from 2 spinal fusions but 10 years later, he was commissioned. Being a sailor and spouse is double the sacrifice but we raise our hands for honor, courage, commitment. Still married and now retired! Blessings to you both shipmates!

He's an officer, she's enlisted. Guess what? She's still the boss!

I can remember the MARINE CORPS Infantry using a conference call with my parents when I was commissioned to the rank of captain After I finished my B.S. from Denver STATE university after returning from a extended tour of duty in Afghanistan. Was happy to see this improvement in the commission ceremony from the Navy

No PDA in uniform. They know the rules. Congrats to both, and thank you to a commander who "gets it ".
