There is a new 1.1.0 update out now that has enabled Emo to talk! He's already getting more improvements. Check out my video of this new update.

It’s a shame that Anki had to shut down due to monetary problems. Anki was such a great company that fixes problems from feedback.

13:39 Vector: ''Hey Emo, let's play'' Emo: ''Not now Vector, we are talking about me here. Get out!'' Vector: ''ARG''

8:35 Vector acting cute climbing the railing "He's gonna get stuck there" Vector : Wait what? Vector desperately tries to escape
  • One useful trick for Cozmo that I discovered is that if you leave it on the screen where you can adjust the audio settings on him he will go off and play on his own. He'll still ask for Peekaboo and fist bumps still but will happily play with his cubes on his own and explore and sing to you. He won't pester you to play games.

Vector running on wheels gives him the best character expression and adds highly to his cuteness. Emo needs some other means of expressing himself and I wonder what this could be. However, I really like his design, he looks like the modern version of the tin can robots from my youth.
  • Vector is almost like Jumping Spiders , the movements where they look around at stuff are just like how jumping spiders move.

I hope alot of Anki's products actually get picked up soon because they were truly innovating the robot toy market. Not only just Vector and Cosmo but other projects like Overdrive.

Emo seems to be the most polite... Vector is like a violent storm, hahaha! Cozmo looks like M-0

The full autonomy is what I really appreciate with my Vector. Really makes the robot feel more independent/smarter and truly alive. Fun fact: If it is dark out and Vector is trying to find his home, he will brighten his eye color on his screen to act as a pseudo flash-light. It's not the best, but can still work in moderately dark/harder to see locations. Almost makes me want to install some sorta mini led flashlight onto his side and have it turn on when he's using that function, so he can better navigate in the dark.

One of the reasons that I never got a Cosmo or Vector was their appearance. I just can't "bond" with a little bulldozer. EMO has his limitations, but at least he doesn't look like a piece of earth-moving equipment. EMO reminds me of Dewey, the maintenance drone from the movie "Silent Running." BTW, I can tell that you love your little bots. Great videos!

“I think vector is a good product and a good investment, he’s just like a real pet!” shows vector continually getting stuck Vector really is just like my cat!

13:45 did you see that EMO refused vector something and then vector was all sad that was werid

These bots are adorable and it's so cute that you're pretty attached to these guys. I've just subscribed :)

The thing I grew to dislike the most about Vector was it's constantly falling off ledges. A 'smart' anything, at the very least, should be capable of not hurting itself! Some level of self preservation!

Anki was way ahead of their time as is proven by their products lasting relevancy. It’s a crying shame that they aren’t around today. The company had huge plans for home robotics but caught the axe before any of their big visions were realized.
