If you ever saw the movie the 300, it is set during the Persian war. It is about the battle of Thermopylae. In the movie you see Mountains, a narrow pass, and then water. That is historically accurate! However, if you go to the battle site today it looks very different. I took this video when I was there several years ago to show my students how the battle site has changed. If you want to learn more about the battle, I have a video you can watch here!
