So basically the lore of the game is everybody gets a fursona but Link just wants to play Minecraft.

0:52 the way her eyes go from scared, to mad to pure dragon is both scary and cool

Zelda's sacrifice is beautiful and depressing at the same time.
  • 11:39 What’s possibly even scarier about this moment is while Zelda was HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE at the shear power increase of eating a tear, ‘Dorf literally COULD maintain his human form and COMPREHEND how much of a power increase that gave him by his laughing before turning

Zelda’s sacrifice was so well portrayed and thought out, I don’t think I’ve ever had chills like I did seeing that cutscene for the first time!!
  • Tears of the Kingdom is a nutshell: you’ve lost your human privileges
  • You have to admit Matt Mercer did a fantastic job as ganondorf atleast this version
  • The dragons and their eyes remind me a lot of Majora, heck even the Zonai make me think of Majora. (Cool thing is, in the manga Majora is a dragon which the Hero beats and carves a mask out of)

I love how people thought ganondorf would be a good guy in this when the whole point was that this man is just evil and just wants to rule everything. What we are seeing is basically in short you could say ocarina of time Ganondorf back but in a higher resolution.
  • When Zelda’s eyes changed, I fucking started sobbing. Holy fuck. What an incredible game.

Am I the only one who really likes how the light dragon sounds? There are so many different directions you can go when it comes to dragon roars and they just really got hers perfect.
  • When riding the dragons and looking at their eyes.. you really see how aimless and lifeless they are. Theyre just souls in a dragons body too far gone to ever do anything again. And they're stuck in that stasis for eternity... Its really sad when you think about it.
  • Zelda had to sacrifice her humanity in order to help Link. Ganondorf had no humanity to begin with.

Rauru: "years form now someone will appear with the sword that seals the darkess" Speedrunner link shows up with a stick and no clothes on: "sup"

That last cutscene almost made me cry. This game made me realize just how much I cared about Zelda, and seeing her become a dragon broke me in a way I did not expect. I was always suspicious of the fourth dragon in the game, but I never connected its appearance with Zelda... until I talked to the Deku Tree and he said that the Master Sword was moving. Landing on Zelda was heartbreaking, and seeing the cutscene showing us her transformation was even worse. I can't express enough my gratitude for the happy ending we got. I truly thought the game was called "Tears of the Kingdom" because of the sacrifice of Princess Zelda, who abandoned everything for the sake of Peace in Hyrule, but I'm happy Zelda got turned back!
  • Ok Zelda with those Dragon eyes in her Human Form is straight up levels of a Creepypasta!

also as a quick note I love that at 2:54 you can hear Ganon's Tower theme from OOT or at least a new rendition of it as Ganondorf is transforming

I love how often this game reinforces the idea of sacrifice in its many forms, which can be done to achieve both altruistic and selfish aims. I guess that’s what tears symbolize throughout the series. Somewhat unrelated, but it puts into perspective the Sheikah symbol (an eye with tear). And that’s just one of the many subtleties in the Legend of Zelda series and especially this game. This game is a masterpiece and truly reflects the richness of LoZ universe and story; though at times it’s plot and timeline can seem disconnected and meandering, when you take the totality of it and perceive its components through any individual perspective, they are still each consistent with each other and the whole.
  • I had a feeling Zelda would be the Light Dragon like BRUH, she’s the freakin light dragon
  • So does this imply that the three dragons we saw in Breath of the Wild were originally people as well?
