Lambeau will die when the NFL dies
  • Long live Lambeau! Not a Packers fan but love the fan base, the stadium šŸŸļø and the traditions of that place! šŸˆ

Life long Packers fan that lives in Arkansas. I got to go to a Monday Night Football game. It was the perfect Lambeau experience. Packed house and light snow.

Changing out all the bleachers for seats would reduce the capacity. You can fit more people in when it's bleachers. They would almost have to add an upper deck to the other side to compensate for the reduced capacity if they swapped out the bleachers for seats. They certainly won't reduce capacity from what they currently have, so gotta find those extra seats somewhere.

Lambeau Field is protected by practically millions of Packer fans! It is a very special place.

I've grown up in Omaha, home of the college world series. Rosenblatt stadium had a rich history for more than 50 years. They knocked it down for a parking lot. Then they built the TD Ameritrade park facing the wrong direction, lol. So much for tradition. Thanks for the video. Go Pack Go!

Itā€™s not going anywhere. Theyā€™ll make structural improvements as needed while keeping the current aesthetic.

Theyā€™re not going to replace the backless bench seating. Every game since 1960 has been sold out to season ticket holders. The estimated wait for season tickets is 30+ years. If they replace the benches that would mean roughly 10k-15k season ticket holders would be forced to give them up over something theyā€™re not really complaining about, which leads me to my next point. While yes they arenā€™t the most comfortable, and the ones in the original lower bowl can feel really cramped (especially in the winter). Itā€™s really something Iā€™ve never heard many Packers fans complaining about, visiting fans yes, but Packers fans seem to understand itā€™s the small price to pay to be season ticket holders.

Lambeau Field is too historic and too sacred to ever demolish!
  • As a Saints fan who went to Green Bay to watch my Saints play the Packers in the Packersā€™ home opener last year, I was very impressed with the atmosphere that surrounds Lambeau Field. I never felt so outnumbered at any game that my Saints played in, but Packers fans were all in all good people, and even though my Saints lost, I still had a good time, and I donā€™t think Lambeau should ever be replaced. Continue upgrading it, as they have to, but donā€™t replace it.
  • With the upcoming demise of Soldier Field, it just makes Lambeau even more special. All these new indoor stadiums pale in comparison to the history and uniqueness of Lambeau.
  • Having a Superbowl in Green Bay is not logistically possible because thereā€™s far from enough hotel space in the surrounding area. And replacing the bleachers with seating would take away a big part of the stadiumā€™s charm and might actually reduce its capacity.

As a WI resident, still shocking an NFL team exists in Green Bay when you are there, so cool

They should uprade entire stadium like they did with that one end zone, I just love how it looks.

The last year the Packers split time in Milwaukee in 1994 Lambeau had a capacity of 58,000 and County Stadium in Milwaukee had 56,000. Today Lambeau Field has a seating capacity in excess of 81,000 and is the second largest Stadium other than Metlife in East Rutherford New Jersey. Truly amazing. I don't think seats will ever be added as it would eliminate too much seating capacity. This debate was held before the big renovation in 2002-2003 and the bleacher argument won out. Super Bowl is an impossibility as the Green Bay/Appleton area does not have nearly enough hotel rooms. The NFL Draft is coming in 2025.
  • I just visited Lambeau field this past January. It is a amazing place, it is so clean and pristine, very well kept. cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in any stadium.
