This is a remake version based on the story and film "Johnny Lingo" (1969) by Patricia McGerr. A Fifth Wave adaptation of Johnny Lingo. On a tropical island, an orphan boy named Tama is "cursed" by his tribe and finds comfort in fellow outcast: Mahana, a fiesty girl shunned for her ragged appearance. When Tama sails off in search of a new life, he promises a tearful Mahana to return for her someday. Tama's journey leads him to Johnny Lingo, a wealthy trader who makes Tama his apprentice and heir. Now as Tama embraces his new life, he must learn that the measure of a man is not in his possessions but in love, friendship and - in Tama's case - honoring a promise from the past. #officialvideo #nz #film #history #movie #movies #officialmovie #family #drama #samoamedia #historical #documentaries #history #newzealand #nzd #filmes #movieexplained

I’m an older woman. I watched an older version of this movie when I was a teen and always remembered it. It was a good story about a woman’s worth! Wonderful story! ❤

Under rated. I didn't think it would get this interesting or heart warming. Finally a movie can recommend to anyone.
  • "Love is the most expensive commodity. The more you're willing to pay, the more valuable the price." Greater love hath no man than this. That a man should lay down his life for his friend. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH, DEAR JESUS. I JUST CAN'T, THANK YOU ENOUGH. 😢

The late John lingo offered all his wealth & honour including his name to the next John lingo & What the next John lingo offered the most precious fact was a eyeopener to know him the value of true love that, Love is the most costly commodity, the most you're willing to pay, the more valuable the price is.How simple is this for all us.All the characters in this movie are awful & this is what I must say thank you very much to Steven Ramirez for making such an clear crystal & beautiful movie for us...
