Basement Flooded! Comic Collection Lost. Cautionary Tale

My basement flooded. I estimate 75 % of my comic book, DVD/ blu-ray, graphic novel, video game collection is gone. Most of the stuff is from the 90's, aughts and teens in the 2000's. Don't leave your collectibles in the basement on the floor like my dumb *ss. Anyway, encountering this made me nostalgic of when I used yo do my weekly newly released comic book hall. Hope all you guys out there in the internets are doing fine...I just had to vent on 10 O ' clock on a Sunday.

Hey Philly. This really sucks seeing your collection destroyed. It's every collectors nightmare and i know someone else that recently lost half of theirs to flooding. Was happy to see you upload a video as i was a fan of your hump day haul (and boxing vids) but soon as this video started and i saw the title i was gutted. Outside of this tragedy i hope you're doing well and it's great to see you again despite the loss of the collection.

I feel this pain but mine were a bunch of consoles and sealed boxes Nintendo games and vintage Pokémon cards card in binders.

Anything of value I always put in totes for this same fear. You can get 27 gallon ones for like $10 at Lowe’s. I’ve probably got like 10 of them 😅

Oh man, that sucks... sorry. Losing all them books is brutal. I'd think the movies and games would still work(?), but I know that's not much consolation. Hope OTHER things in your life are going well.

Hey, Philly! I recently discovered your channel through your B.P.R.D. video. So sorry that this happened to your collection. I hope all is well for you. I'd love to see you continue your comic collecting journey when you are able to do so.

Wow sorry to hear that Phil! I didn't even know Hellraiser had comics. Well have to check those out. Cool that u have a house though! Get that basement fixed! Hope u r doing well!
