Talk about a misleading title!! "When the Bough Breaks" refers to when Rosalind Russel has flashbacks of when she was a little girl living with her mean old Grandfather. The real story is about how she and her new husband (Sheldon Leonard) got away with murdering Grandpa for his money! Now each one suspects that one will murder the other in order to keep ALL of the money! It's a great story with plenty of surprises, presented with excellent sound quality! You'll also hear Suspense regular Joseph Kearns (which is no surprise)

Sheldon Leonard became known for his voice, and ended up being typecast as a gangster. He worked many years with JACK BENNY on Benny's radio and TV shows. Sheldon played Nick the bartender in "It's a Wonderful Life," and later became a TV producer - "The Dick VanDyke Show" and "Laverne and Shirley," to name a couple.

    Thank you for posting these wonderful Broadcasts. / Radio Plays. Interesting to hear screen stars in some interest counter-casting. But Rosalind Russell was a old hand at this kind of role, it's a variation of her role in Night Must Fall (1938).
