Everyone keeps asking where the snipers are but no one is asking how the snipers are.

    I can’t believe she’s served with 4 presidents.. that’s nuts
  • Confirming the sniper thing - there was a presidential visit to my school and I didn't get a ticket, so I ended up chilling at my dorm window taking pics of the action. I noticed on the building across the way that there were people on it... I zoomed in closer on my camera and it was snipers. I started looking all around. On several balconies and tops of buildings there were other snipers stationed with binoculars. One of them was looking at ME. Then I looked down to the balcony below me. Snipers. Just a few yards away. I slowly backed away from the window and called my Mom. Then a few minutes later, I looked out the window again. The snipers were already facing me, looking up, guns ready. I waved and said hi. They said hi. It was really surreal and my first time realizing how much protection the President really had.

I love the way she never completely discounts even the frankly absurd scenarios. Interesting that she is trained to never say "never" and always take into consideration the crazy improbable scenarios.

One of the most common misunderstandings about the secret service, and this is largely because of Hollywood, is that their number one job is NOT to be good with a gun or great at fighting. Yes, they train so they're good at those things. But their #1 job is THREAT DETECTION (or arguably to create those layers of security she talked about and control the environment). And I really liked that she talked about that. When the president is around people her job was to watch them and notice the person who is acting weird or who is looking down at their hands while they try to get a weapon into their hands or so on. So I really appreciated her talking about that aspect of things.

Dark clothes, blonde with a ponytail, dark eye makeup... She looks like a former agent, who became a hitwoman. lol
  • @aaryabhave3018
Not many people in the world can say things like “Where are my snipers”.
  • She was my professor in college criminal justice her 3 hour lectures were the best

Without going into any details, I have had to work with the Secret Service once when the President was visiting a place I worked. To my surprise, they were extremely polite and respectful. We had no illusions who was calling the shots that day, but they didn't just shove our security to the side, rather worked with my manager on where we would be stationed and what we would be responsible for. I even remember seeing this lady, though we never spoke. Consumat professionals, the lot of them.
  • I'd like to see a review of a Former President rates the realism of presidents acting in these situations.

When she said “where are my snipers?!” I felt like I was the one getting scolded. She’s good lol
  • @IzumisChild

We definitely gotta see her review more of the Secret Service scenes from The West Wing! Such a good show!
