The Evil Zone. You get there by taking a right turn at the Danger Zone, passing next to the Twilight Zone and going around the Negative Zone. Easy.
  • Imagine Smash Bros, where every stage is Final Destination and the only move anyone can do is Captain Falcon's Final Smash.

17:11 "A hot person that kisses badly." Yeah. I had Evil Zone and that right there is the perfect analogy for it.

I love how Paul Eiding keeps getting dragged into conversations about this game. Truly, his most iconic role.

5 minutes of shitting on the one button combat system followed by 5 minutes of explaining the complexity of the fighting system.

Evil Zone: As created by Zone, featuring Zone, taking place in a Zone with the music styling of Danger Zone.  Also, Woolie can't get lice. His dreads are immune to parasites.

Evil Zone is like if a company wanted to make a fighting game, spent hundreds of hours working on all the characters, style, animation, etc, and then, 2 days before the deadline, they realized they hadn't actually made the game yet. I want to like it so bad, and I do, kind of, for everything except the actual game
  • It's always during Scrublords and Fisticuffs that I wonder if Liam picks up the archetype of the loli anime girl character because he genuinely enjoy them or just to live up to his character.

Not that this will affect your opinion of the game (I have a soft spot for it, but even I admit it's style over substance), but you can totally jump. It's up, up+square. Jumping attack is up, up+triangle. There's not really any reason to do it, but it's in there. Also, tapping triangle a few times gets you an alternate version of your four specials with different properties. Mostly it's just stuff like alternate angles, but Keiya's red pentagram basically breaks the game. When it hits (which isn't hard, since it's fairly fast and goes under other projectiles), it instantly gives you a super crystal. Oh, and both versions hit downed opponents. Speaking of the crystals, aside from using it for supers, you can also burn one to do an unblockable attack. I'm not sure if it's the same attack for everyone, but they all have a move that can be powered up by holding the button. So I guess what I'm saying is even if they failed, they did try. There are moves for countering sidesteps and you can deflect projectiles and so on. The problem is you don't have to do most of it. That's the real reason I wanted an Evil Zone 2. So Yuke's could take another shot at it and come up with gameplay that matched the presentation.

0:18 I just realized that that wasn't Pat acting. That was just his daily struggle of getting onto a human couch. With those babby stumps he calls legs, its no wonder he stocks his apartment with dog beds and carnival mirrors that make him look tall. The plight of Pat is an arduous one, known by few, but palpably bleak to all. I guess I shouldn't feel too bad though, seeing as how they actually let him on the furniture now. Too bad he's dying though.

The wacky adventure of the Colonel before he met Snake.
  • Lol that enraged "you forgot the cookies?!" In the intro is always the best part in Saturday Morning Scrublords
  • @Mundane05
Evil Zone's intro looks like one of the Viper games. I sure as hell hope nobody gets my meaning.

Oh yeah next Sile----oh it's Friday....oh.  (Me every Friday night)
  • I really liked this game as a kid and so did most of my friends. The action was fast, style and animation were fun and the fighting system was really easy to learn. I may look at it through nostalgia gogles, but still - many fond memories with this title.

When Pat was talking about Black Metal i'm not sure if he was aware of the fact that there was a Black Metal band where one of the members killed himself and the next album cover was a photo of his body the other band member took upon finding his corpse. (fair warning: don't look this shit up, you might lose your breakfast) Anyway, i want to hear Pat talk about Black Metal more often. Now, there's a sentence i never thought i would write.
