  • Love the curtains Sean! Perhaps when you’re next near a curtain shop, pop in and ask them about gathering the pleats at the top for a more sophisticated finish 😊 or ask your cousin to show you. I would suggest you put both curtains on the smaller window, gather the strings a bit tighter, it will look quite luxurious. Your house is turning into a lovely cosy place. All the best.
  • Those curtains really add that special touch to your windows. They look lovely. And the green sheets and bedspread will blend very nicely with those curtains. Perfect choice for you Sean. Very cozy indeed.🥰🇨🇦💕👍🏻

I would put two curtains to the little window and not cut the rail.

Hi Sean, don't worry if your lemons are big. They are beautiful lemons, be proud 👏 of them!!!! No, seriously, I really like them, very cheerful xxx

I love your new curtains, they make such a difference to your bedroom, and I love the pattern. As susangrindle says, you need to pull the strings to bunch the curtains up more, but as she said tie both ends when you have done so. You had such a busy day, you must relax now, and have a cup of tea - beautiful! Sleep well with your new curtains closed. xxx

You need to have both curtains at both windows! You need to draw up the strings at the top of each curtain evenly and until each one is just over half way across the window to give you the gathers. Then divide the hooks between the curtains and evenly space them. There should be two hooks with a screw stopper that goes on the outer edges of the rails to stop the curtain whizzing off when you open them in the morning! You were correct about the overlay in the middle to prevent a gap, but don't cut your rail. Ideally it should be at least 6 inches wider each side of the window gap, again to prevent gaps where light will come in! If I lived near you, I would come and do it for you! Love that fabric design though and it should match the dark green bedding well!

You need to pull up the string on the top of the curtain to gather them

Kitchen blind is lovely! Just how I imagined lol
  • You need the fabric to be three times the width of your window for curtains; it’s the folds that trap warmth. Very nice design tho.
  • The wicker hamper would have been good to keep your treasures in, instead of a cardboard box. I have a wooden batten fixed to the wall with rawplugs and the curtain rail fixes onto it, makes it ,more secure. Put a curtain hook every 3 spaces, then find the 3 strings at each end pull the three together for your gather, pull them one side to the middle then do the same with the other side. When you have the right gather tie the ends. Hope this helps xx

Beautiful curtains and blinds. As others have said, tie the ends of the strings at one end and pull them up so that each curtain is wide enough to cover half a window. Probably best to watch a how to on YouTube. Then you use the hooks to clip on the end off the rail to stop them pulling across from the wrong end. Good idea to leave the rails a little long and then curtains can pull right back off the window in the daytime to let as much light in as possible.

The drapes and blind look very nice. I would put both curtains up as it will give a nicer appearance and fullness to the window.
  • @Wendy-fp2fd
I would hang the second curtain on the small window. Did LOL at you leaving the bread maker on the bus 😂As my mum used to say... keep your wits about you! 😄 I really like the curtains, I don't mind the large lemons and oranges.
  • @CrovieStudio
Sean you need to put the end stops on the rails, they'll be hooks with screw bits that tighten them to the rail so that when you swoosh the curtains open they won't fall off the ends, they should be in the packet with the gubbins.
  • @ggwildlife
looking good Sean, two curtains on the small window for sure though!

Just wanted to pass on this new idea I had. I kept throwing away bananas that went off so quickly, so this time, I kept a couple of fresh ones, and skinned the others and put them in a freezer bag, and froze them. You can use them for smoothies, but I have been getting my frozen blueberries out, and a frozen banana, and leaving it for a bit, then having it for a dessert, with Waitrose Greek Yogurt - It is so lovely! xxx
  • I use stick pins to pin the curtains to the well. I work graveyard and sleep during the day, so all light needs to be extinguished.
