I Unboxed the NEW Valkyrie Heirloom!! (24 Awakening Collection Event)

Hey Kandy, I was lucky enough to do the sound design for this heirloom and really appreciate the shout-out! Been watching your videos for eons, but this will mark my first comment on your channel. Audio (understandably) gets a bit of flak on Apex, so it's really wonderful to hear some praise occasionally haha. The animation and FX teams absolutely slayed it on this heirloom as well which served as an incredibly solid base for the audio design. Keep up the great content as always!

The fact that Kandy spend apex coins to buy that caustic skin instead of using crafting material hurt my soul 😭

Her heirloom reminds me of the staffs on the map origins from black ops 2 & 3 zombies lol

I agree that the spear was a good choice. Though I think if it looked like a naginata would be neat since that weapon is almost never in video games.

I’ve been holding onto my heirloom shards for months for this heirloom. The event can’t end soon enough 😅

I hate how fuse skins don't change how his ult looks while equipped. They need to have skins change ult weapon looks. Note: if you inspect the heirloom while crouching, you get a animation with vipers helmet. It's not by chance, either, so you can do it anytime!

Yessss, I can't wait to see you use the homegurl <3 Ramen sounds so good man; cute how Valk's so casual with it. So many little intricate details on her heirloom! Hurts to have to wait until the event is over to use the shards, but defo encouraged me to make hers my first even more.

One note, If you crouch and inspect the heirloom you get the viper's helmet and if you run and inspect it you throw the apex pred card

Valkrie’s Spear is so awesome! Also the Maggie skin is a definitely a reference to Godzilla and the Fuse skin is a clear reference to King Kong. Loba is Ultraman. This was a Kaiju themed event!

So you have to buy the packs to get them? Not like a leveling system?. I’m fairly new to this game so I was confused with everything and how to get them.

Its awesome! When u inspect the heirloom when u crouch, u get special inspect with helm of viper 😍 ps.. sry for my english 😅

I learned their are 4 animations while standing and then a secret one where if you crouch and look at the ground and then inspect it will always pull out viper helmet and has a voice line along with it

Hey Kandy, I was wondering if you had an opinion on this; My buddy said Apex is entering the phase where the skill gap is nearing the point where people started jumping off fortnite. Do you think Apex will have a similar problem?

Hey Kandy, dunno if anyone else pointed this out but the reason some of the skins might be odd, especially Loba’s, is because the event is based mainly on Japanese pop culture icons with the main theme of Mechs Vs Monsters. This is seen by some skins like (for example) Loba’s inspired by Ultraman, Maggie’s inspired by Godzilla, Seer’s inspired by(of course) Power Rangers, and Rampart’s inspired by(possibly) Sailor Moon. Some of them are pretty specific designs, but it’s because they have direct inspirations.

Looked at everything available and honestly only like the Longbow skin and Ash skin. Though the Volt skin packaged with the new Lifeline set is really nice.

@Kandyrew I'm not sure if you know but in an event pack you get one event item per pack and it's always in the middle slot so that paths skin was a previous event skin
