I bought a bag filled with 32 different devices for £50. What works? What doesn't? Is there money to be made?

Found a similar deal on ebay a couple of months ago. 70 phones, 70 dollars, "broken". Among them, a fully working iphone X, a pretty new oppo phone, assorted others. About 50 of them worked overall.
  • Note to you : the iPhone where you said the home button doesn't work is an iPhone 7 so the home button doesn't click by itself it needs to be powered on to give you the "click" since it's handled by the vibration motor.

Would definitely watch a video on the old iPod. Curious about the slab BlackBerry phone as well. The ones manufactured by TCL were actually pretty decent Android phones. I love the old Nokia phones that have character. Phones used to be so customizable and now all you can do is put a funky case on your black or white slab of glass. iPhone repairs are typically pretty easy, that's how I started repairing small electronics actually but as others have said if they're cloud locked you probably won't ever be able to do anything with them.

"nobody really is gonna have any interest in this because it's so old" that's where you're wrong! I and many others adore this kind of stuff and collect old phones :)

The ones in a boot—loop, which is caused by a bad battery. Resetting it won’t help, if you want them to work, get the battery replaced.

Seeing that J3 put a smile on my face, it was the first phone I ever bought and it got me through college, such a great Samsung phone and honestly love those, they’re great budget phones.

You're right that these will start having nostalgic value. The Gen-Xers (like me) have gotten all of their 80s stuff back, now it is time for the Millennials, which is a larger generation. Moto Razers and PS2s/PSPs will be all the rage - buy all you can get. Love the channel, massive Holiday Cheers!

You can't just upload a Nugget Lucky Dip on a Sunday... Oh wait this isn't Dankpods

Hi. The case with some of the iPhones is called a boot loop. All you have to do is open up the iPhone/iPod/iPad and disconnect the microphone/connect the microphone(if it wasn’t connected) and try again, it’s a simple error. I experienced it once with my iPhone XS Max

Of course the Nokia's work 😂 they're bomb proof. I'd want the BB Curve. I love Blackberry phones. Really prefer the physical keyboard. I actually hated touch phones when I had to switch from my BB 8520

Man, how nostalgic to see a V3 again. This was the phone everyone wanted during my early teens lol.

not to be that guy, but the ipod at 0:47 needs 45 more years to be unlocked again

A common problem with the early models in the Samsung Galaxy series (e.g. S3, S4) is USB port failure, which among other things prevents the phone from charging. I had short-lived success working around that by using wireless charging adapter pads (which used contact points inside the phone, bypassing the USB port), but later found it easier (and more reliable) to just swap batteries and use a dedicated wall charger … that is, until the phones themselves eventually died. Don’t know whether that bit of info might be relevant to your troubleshooting efforts, but thought I’d share it just in case. 🙂

For that iPod Classic 4th Gen 20GB, you're able to pry off the back and replace the old hard drive with a cheap flash mod/sd card, really easy it just plugs right in where the old drive was. No soldering. Sadly that screen seemed like it was missing a line of pixels
