You will learn to make screen printing frames from repurposed canvas frames which are easily found at you local thrift stores.

Equipment:
110 mesh from Amazon: amzn.to/38FEZUS

Drawer / Cabinet Liner: amzn.to/34HXkPS
Staple Gun: amzn.to/2KVa6TQ

Staples: amzn.to/3rrE2Ie

Assortment of clamps (you can find at most hardware stores, but I'll post a couple examples here): amzn.to/2M7e7Fz or amzn.to/3hkSrRY

Scrap wood: If you don't have scrap wood around, find a wood pallet to tear apart.

Canvas Frames: Find these at your local flea market or thrift store. I find that the glued variety work better than the stapled variety.

*If you don't already have amazon prime for free two day shipping on the items listed above try a free 30 day trial: amzn.to/2KtnEX8

  • finally someone to get to the point and not waste time..we just want to see the screen being made..NOT some elaborate pressing system tables, hinges, boards, etc like the pros use..just a screen..Thanks

Wow!! You blew my mind by using old frames from Goodwill! So much easier than buying the wood and building the frame from scratch. Thank you!!
  • @Brendonluvr24
The goodwill tip is everything because I know my instinct was to go buy wood lol

I just made three screens. Thanks for the info! Saved me hella money.
  • @killsunhee
I thought I was the only who used picture frames like these haha, I live in Barcelona and people here just toss them outside trash containers so they’re literally free for me
  • Stumbled across this video and this is just genius! Even for painters stretching canvas, the grippy mat wrapped around wood trick is super helpful. Traditionally painters would use canvas pliers which only tension one spot at a time, it can be so frustrating trying to get the whole canvas smooth and tight.
  • I know this is an old video but on this Sunday morning you are an heaven sent🙏🏾🙌🏾😇
  • thank you for making an actual diy tutorial. I have come across so many “diy” videos where you need some niche expensive equipment according to them. Thanks for being so accessible and helpful!

I'm a former screen printer & I gotta say ..... NICE !!! I'm going to star up printing at home for my own purposes (not as a money maker).

Thank you sm big dog! Keep being a king
  • Fantastic! I have a work bench with a clamp, but I also have a bunch of kids-- maybe one of them can hold the unstapled end taught for me instead of using the wood planks
