Man, I didn't know Noraus passed away in 2018 till now. This was a really beautiful album that I will keep listening time to time for the rest of my life, thank you and rest in peace Noraus, your contribution to the universe will not be forgotten by me.

I'm an absolute fan of Carbon Based Lifeforms and Solar Fields, and I was desperately searching for a new artist to give me the same feelings as those previous two. And now that I find it, the man is already dead... I wish him peace, and thanks for his contribution.

The problem is there's so much content on this channel it's impossible to pick out the favourite or the best but i have to give a special mention for this one because the flow and creativity is unbelievable. Out of my listening frequents nothing makes me brainstorm or research better for the business tasks. thank you to Noraus and also to TPM for existing.

I got Youtube Premium for the sole purpose of removing pesky ads on these videos when I'm trying to sleep. With the added benefit of also now being able to play them while browsing my social media, to reduce stress!

The album title caused me to look up "Type 1 civilizations" on Wikipedia. Apparently there are three different "types" of civilizations according to some type of astrophysics categorization scheme, with Type 1 civilizations defined as those that are able to utilize solar energy that reaches their planet, and Type 3 being those that can utilize solar energy from throughout their host galaxy. Under the section "observational evidence" on that page, there is speculation that Type 3 civilizations are very rare in the "local Universe" (whatever that means) but the fact that they are thought to be present at all is pretty interesting.

Futurism and technological advancement

The songs "Ungooma" and "Fludentri" were obviously inspired by the soundtrack of the classic game Ascendancy; you can clearly hear the influence if you listen to the OST (Ungooma: https://youtu.be/KIRpy-ifWn4?si=yuisrcNpej7oKhhQ / Fludentri: https://youtu.be/xbArY2QJl7U?si=FX4tiSQLf0tbDdxF ). The game itself has aged poorly, but I think any admirer of Noraus might enjoy its' music.

The drums which start around 6:46 remind me of Danny Carey's little drum solo in TOOL's song "Right in Two" :)

Amazing, I'm just discovering this composer! I'll make sure to get some of his work!
