By now, we all know that the criminal underworld is always eager to leave its stamp on hip-hop and while many artists come into the game with ties that they can’t shake off, others seem to inadvisably seek them out. In certain areas, there is also the prospect that you’re going to get pressed for any valuables you might have on you.

In Houston, people go to J Prince for protection. In Detroit, visiting artists are encouraged to check in with Trick Trick to get past the No Fly Zone. But in recent years, one place has emerged as far more treacherous than anywhere else in LA. A city that tragically claimed the lives of stars like Pop Smoke and PNB Rock in bungled robberies, to say that crime here is rife would be an understatement.

I'm born and raised in Cali, lived in The Bay and LA, there are plenty of rappers who move freely in LA. The only ones that have trouble are the ones who talk all that gangsta shit and floss too hard, if that's what you're on people are gonna find out if it's true. There are literally celebrities everywhere in LA LOL.
  • French Montana, the rapper with 0 personality, rapping on AI beats fits perfectly. Wack advertisement, have better standards

Vanilla Ice didn’t seem to have any stockholm syndrome to me. Just took it on the chin and moved on. Don’t know what else he really could have done. We all know suge is willing to do anything.

I would avoid Cali like the plague if I were an celebrity. Who has time to check in with all these little money hungry extortionists?

"My message to anybody considering coming to Los Angeles especially during the holiday season is dont"😂😂😂😂
  • @boxertest
I bet Elon doesn't check in, smh this is all just non sense, a billionaire is ok but an artist just starting out is in constant danger
  • @marty7335
Ain't no way you're promoting ai songs lmaooo
  • @Laidback_616
Meanwhile its actual Billionaires walking around L.A. without a care.
  • I'm from East Side Long Beach...just don't need to act hard. It's those outsiders that try act all hard. It's nothing soft about it, just smart. Like Chris Tucker said in Rush Hour 2. "'I'm from Los Angeles we invented gangs" lol
  • @kenking2536
This does not apply to regular ppl from out of town. If your not a celebrity then your not a target unless you make yourself one. Stay low key, out the way and mind your business. You'll be fine...mostly
  • Suge Knight would’ve been the Perfect Boss in ‘Def Jam Fighting For LA’
  • @TheGASMass
Ain’t no Latin Kings moving anything in Cali, with all due respect. It’s Bloods, Crips, Sureños, Norteños, and then the white supremest and the police gangs. Anything else is off brand…
  • @Kalisway_
To Whoever is making these thumbnails, Y'all killing it. For real! 🔥
  • A tax paying citizen should never check in to a bunch of bums that refuse to get a job lmao
  • @jamesfox1143
Police protective league director saying “we can’t guarantee your safety” is not surprising at all. Like maybe ducking welfare expenses infrastructure and education in favor of inflating police budgets ISNT the answer after all🤯🤯🤯
