Newest Light Electric Motorcycles for 2024 (eBike Alternatives to 125cc)

Published 2024-01-13
Traditional 125cc (and sometimes 250cc models) have always been the number one choice for commuting mainly because of their affordable price, efficiency, light weight, and reliability. So, if we are looking to transition to zero emissions vehicles, then there should be more electric motorcycle alternatives to traditional two-wheelers with 125cc displacement.

Our channel is dedicated to making overviews about latest battery-powered transport. Follow this Youtube playlist to always stay up to date:    • Electric motorcycles, bikes and scooters

In today's video we wanted to see how good lightweight motorcycles are going to be in the upcoming 2024 model year. To do so, we have put together a video presentation dedicated to battery-electric models that could compete with this traditional class in terms of performance and running cost.

Super 73 isn't ever going to come out. It's been 3 years that it was supposed to be in production 😮‍💨
  • I'm very excited to announce, I will be a Certified Technician for SegWay/Sur-Ron, and ZERO, motorcycles. in 3 months, beyond that, if able? Stark Varg, and RYVID will be on my service technician agenda in 2025. With Service, I intend to invest in a Sales operation.Eventually

Are these new electric motorcycles good enough to replace your 125cc commuter? Share your thoughts below!

Good video, bit you mixed up the images for the rm1 with rm1s. They look similar, but the rm1s should have better performance overall.

Was excited for kawasaki right up until eco = 40mile range. I really would have expected 60-80

I think the electric motor is a good idea. However I feel the bike still needs a onboard generator to either charge the battery pack or just provide electric current directly to the motor or both. Relying on shore power only for charging the battery is not the way to go.

They need more range and top speed for those prices. Some e-bikes can hit 50mph with a little help
  • i think motorcycles should run around 80-100 mph by now ...... make it happen ..... 😀

Will any of these ever see the light of day in the UK? Only Kawasaki and Maeving so far…

Range and speed to low, price to high. Electric bikes will never take off until petrol ones are gone and we've nothing else to buy. Fortunately I'll probably be dead by then.
