Funny, the reason Koba gave to wanting to go to war with humans was because Ash got shot by a human, only for Koba to kill Ash anyways. It was never about the well being of other apes, it was about his own selfish goal to kill humans for what they did to him.

I swear few months ago I searched up and down youtube trying to find a timeline video for this franchise to no avail and out of nowhere it appears on my feed. Best day ever

I love how in the 60s an astronaut can just light up a stogie mid space flight 😂😂

My favorite scene in the whole series is when Caesar and his human family are the table for breakfast. The dad shows obvious decline in mental faculties and Caesar gives this “oh no!” type of expression. As someone who’s grandparents both died of Alzheimer’s I have seen that look many times 😢
  • So many people are so misinformed about the relationship between the new movies and the originals and so I really appreciated that comprehensive intermission that accurately describes their relation

Andy Serkis should have won an Oscar for playing Caesar.

The amount of homage that the reboot gave to the "orginal" films is actually crazy

Every major ape is named either Caeser, Cornelius or blue eyes 😂 just like humans. Great video

this video was just what I needed, for some reason my algorithm is filled with planet of the apes content and I never watched old ones

What I loved about the originals were those bleak endings. I will never forget seeing the statue of liberty like that for the first time. And I will never forget the ending overhead shot of escape, where zira and cornelius die in each others arms.

Love the ending of beneath the planet of the apes, it left me speechless as a kid. Never seen a movie portray humanity or earth as something insignificant.
  • Roddy McDowal as Ceasar was a perfect pick and one, if not his greatest, of roles. The speech he gives at the end of conquest resonats authority and haunting reverence. Aside from Peter Vincent this series will always remind me of him. A brilliant idea to bring to the big screen and I can't wait to see Kingdom.

In the original humans were destroyed by nuclear weapons. In the reboot they were destroyed by a virus. That's another continuity difference.

As someone who watched the Original Planet of the Apes films, the Reboots, Remakes, or prequels whatever they are did justice to the OGs so I'd be happy with them if they were prequels or remakes
  • My theory, is that the Virus that killed the pets still exist but the apes are carriers. Becuase they went back in time the timeline was acclerated.
  • "Whats wrong with me?" "I think you're crazy" "I want a second opinion" "You're also lazy"

I didn’t even know there was that many ape movies from back then. I always thought it was just one.

I really want to thank for composing this timeline. I was a kid back in the 70s. I saw all the movies back then, but I didn’t speak english at that time, yet.
