Countryballs - History of South America
South America is a warm continent with constant wars and unstable situations. This is the only thing most people know about this continent. However, its history is very interesting and long. Before Europeans came to this continent, it was inhabited by Indians who came from North America. Around the 9th century, the first powerful Indian state was formed - the kingdom of Kusto, which was later replaced by the Inca Empire, which still amazes people today with its structure for such an isolated continent. After Columbus' expedition, the Portuguese were the first to colonize the continent. They landed in Brazil in the 15th century and established a colony. Soon the Spanish became interested in the new continent to the south and began colonizing, taking over the territories of present-day Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Peru and Chile and Uruguay. Soon after, new European expeditions sailed to the continent, the Dutch occupied the territories of Surinam and Guyana, and the French occupied the territories of Guiana, which remain French to this day. During the decline of the Iberian Union, the Dutch attempted to invade Brazil, but a well-organized Portuguese army soon drove them from the continent. The Dutch colonies were disputed territories, claimed by the English in addition to the Dutch themselves, and there were disputes over this issue that are reflected in present-day Suriname and Guyana. The countries will gain independence soon, but to find out when Brazil Gained independence? Or when did Argentina gain independence? And you will find out how it all happened if you watch this video on the Canvas Countryballs channel on the map in the animated Countryball genre

  • Uruguay was part of the Brazilian empire, and gained its independence from them in 1825.

Brazil was the only country that had a TRUE European monarchy represented by the houses of Bragança, Bourbon and Orléans, established in Rio de Janeiro during all 19th century, and which contributed to the stability, integrity and unity of such a large and diverse country.

Paraguay became independent in 1811 and Argentina in 1816. You put that fact wrong, but the video was still entertaining!

The video is very well done and awesome, but the Paraguayan war was kind of missing and the annexation of Paraguayan territory only happened in 1880, with the Paraguayan war happening before, and the annexation of Acre happened after the Brazilian empire fell, but it was just those mistakes, but the video was very good!
