What has happened to the world of Half-Life: Alyx in the time we've been gone..? And why do I feel so... blue? This video is intended for mature audiences.

On June 1st, 2021, twitch streamer 'wayneradiotv' was linked to a workshop page for a newly uploaded mod for Half-Life: Alyx. A mod that would "breathe life" into Gnome Chompski. He installed it, hoping to make the stream of his "gnome run" more interesting. He was not aware of the myth, but that didn't matter anymore. The following footage is documentation of the "Gnome Edition's" existence and what its discovery unleashed into the world.

Wayne's relationship with this gnome changes on a second-by-second basis. Absolutely no persistence of emotion. They are both besties and worsties in a quantum flux state. A gnome in a radioactive box, both alive and 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝓯𝓪𝓲𝓵𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮 simultaneously until observed.

Just noticed, at 6:17, the red gnome says his health meter is decreasing, however, on the right side of the screen it says "METER NOT FOUND" and shows an error model, this is because of the fact that at this time, the gnome still has his immortality free trial. This is really neat attention to detail.

13:56 its funny realizing that Wayne has an index, and in Half Life Alyx those grenades can use the index's grip function. That means wayne was squeezing the controller out of frustration towards the gnome.

The font and color for the wretched gnome is so perfect. Even if it wasn’t in purple as a complement to the yellow regular gnome text, the curlicuey font would still be exactly what it needed.
